90m copies at 60 dollars a piece came out at around 5.6b, but obviously most copies weren't full price, so I would guess the over 6b estimate includes micros, in which case subscription based games should also be considered.
I roughly estimated WoW at 15 dollar sub for 4 million people over 12 months and for 10 years which would give an income of 7.2 billion
