WHO WOULDN'T PLAY JOURNEY MODE sorry caps
>Why yes, I will be playing journey mode with master difficulty and x10 spawn rate
ah, you must mean "journalist" mode
I'll probably never touch it.
Do higher difficulties add new stuff or just beef up enemies and make you drop your items on death?
yes
Summoner chads unite!
I just want to see the patch notes so I can start autistically start planning out my master mode route.
the fuck is journey mode, ultra easy mode?
You're mixing 2 different types of difficulty here. Character difficulty effects what you drop: you should only play softcore/classic where you only drop money on death, or hardcore where you die permanently if you want a challenge. Mediumcore is just tedious, you might drop items in lava pits and you have to make long trips back to them without anything to protect you.
Then there's world difficulty: normal is normal, expert boosts enemy stats, adds boss attack patterns, gives unique gear from bosses, and all enemies drop double the rare items + extra money (but enemies will also steal money on the ground, so use your piggy bank often). Master mode is another stat boost for enemies with no real confirmed exclusive content, it's just hard for the sake of being hard, but it does at least include all of Expert mode's changes.
>it's in 5 days
Damn, Expert mode is sometimes brutal, can't wait to see what's in Master mode
Hopefully we get free/new stuff like the Loot bags from Expert
It's basically console command mode with unlockable creative mode for each individual item through "research." Research is just shoving the required amount of said item into a trash slot, which is fine because you then get infinite. The console command type stuff includes weather manipulation, time control, spawn rate slider, difficulty control, invincibility, increased block placement range, and more (I think). Also you start with super low power wings and a weak summon staff.
A sorta creative mode.
You can research stuff, by destroying a certain number of items (i.e. 100 torches, or 1 weapon)
Which let's you duplicate that item indefinitely.
But you can also freely manipulate a bunch of other stuff, like spawn rates, difficulty, weather, or time, or enable a god mode.
You can only play journey mode worlds with journey mode characters, and those characters can't go into other non-journey mode worlds.
It's the "everything at once" mode. Swap difficulty on the fly and have access to several godmode tools, both increasing or lowering challenge as you please.
Thanks lads
>Journey casuals quarantined by default
full kek
Shitter mode, basically. No one who uses it can be considered a legitimate player since they cheated with 100% certainty at some point.
When is the GOG version going to update?
but what about MASTER mode? expert was pretty rough at times already
>all the sweaty tryhards ITT
Nobody is impressed by the way you play fucking Terraria.
NO IT'sS IMPRESSIVE LOOK IM PLAYING JOURNEY BUT I HAVE ALL THE SETTINGS SET UP SUPER HIGH SO ITS EVEN HAAAARDER THAN MASTER MODE! SO WHAT IF I HAD TO USE GODMODE TO BEAT BOSSES
Here's your (you)
I'll probably play Journey mode casually after/alongside a real run on 1.4. It'll be fun to 100% a sandbox mode for me to test stuff in.
Master mode gives another accessory slot immediately that stacks with demon heart.
So, nothing stronger than moonlord/his armor?
Too bad, but I Master mode will be an absolute inferno so I'm not complaining, specially if the mid game gets better with more options for both weapons and armors
Wtf am I looking at?
Whats journey mode? Super casual?
