30 FPS (Consistant tho, Blightown no longer runs like ass)
QoL improvements like 6 players online, being able to choose how many items to use instead of manually going through each, and some other shit I'm probably forgetting
Lower Quality audio (Noticable when compared to the other releases, but I honestly forgot about it after I started playing)

You could certainly do worse than the Switch port, shits pretty dope when I'm on the go

the lighting is straight up garbage on the remaster but the connectivity is way better, also using the dsfix to force 60fps can cause some bugs while jumping and using stairs but they are really really rare

Mostly, yes. 60fps, quality of life improvements (being able to pop more than 1 soul item at once, etc.), DS3 netcode w/ password feature, UI scaling.

The only thing I'd say is worse is the lighting, and that's really not a big deal. I always choose it unless I want to do something with mods or cheat engine.

Prepare to Die + DSFix is the best way to experience the game. The fact they removed this edition from the steam store is a fucking crime

Get the torrent, install the game.
Copy the things inside the prophet folder to where the game is.
Then the online crack.
Then dsfix.
Then start steam (the real steam)
Then play the game. Remember to turn off AA in the options or you'll crash.
