Tldr for people:
Basically saying Smash is a japan thing and expect japan franchises. Which basically means they're for the japanese community. Anyone who's not part of the japanese community are even lucky they're getting smash because it brings big bucks to Nintendo. Otherwise it won't even leave japan similar to Mother 3.
Although the only franchise that even listens to non-japanese fans would be Metroid, since it was never popular with Japanese fans to begin with, only to amercians.

This is common knowledge. Sakurai wanted Doom to be in Smash, but Bethesda doesn't consider him canon anymore, only Doom Slayer. Sakurai on the other hand refuses to play nu-fps games and is adamant about the original Doom guy. So we're at an impasse and nothing is likely to happen. My dad is the CEO at Sega.
