I've got hd558s and hd25 1-iis
and some other sony stuff and koss iems

prefer my behringer near field monitors and osd 12" sub since I moved out to my own place

Koss KSC75. Literally audiophile-grade audio for $15. Only downside is the short cable but that can easily be extended.

OP here. Nice to see another broke boi in the thread. I’d get a pair of Sennheisers or Behyrdynamics, if I had the cash, but these work well enough for me.

these are great I just wish they had open back versions available
so fucking durable

I hate these. I've been through two pair and they keep breaking.
>inb4 stop throwing them when you die

I have been using mine for 2 1/2 years now and they still look new, what are you doing with yours?

These, but the classic edition and Stax L700

Nothing. I use them and lay them on the desk when done. They don't get dropped, they don't tossed, the mic starts going out after a few months and then I start getting a crackling in sound in the ear phones themselves.

Based and staxpilled

Just got the turtle beach elite pro and I'm loving them so far.

don't fall for the chinkbait

That's actually not a bad idea.

The principle is solid though.

Yeah, just don't buy that garbage $3 mic. Shit, just get a scissor arm and buy a real microphone.

not gonna click your amazon referral links lol

The mic is good idea but don't be that guy who unironically bought an m50x in 2020

Just ordered AKG K240(50€) & DT770 PRO(100€). I hope the K240 is better.

Mein Neger. Do you also use an antlion modmic?

Why do I keep falling for the wireless meme? I've bought three different sets of phones in as many years and I have a miniature aneurysm every time one runs out of battery.

corsair void pro wireless

shit fucking sucks

I feel for the wireless meme too. Well maybe not so much a meme as wireless does have its benefits, but wired is just better for me. Both headset and controller.

Thats because headsets are overpriced and poorly made. You're buying cheap shitty headphones with a cheap shitty mic at a premium because its in a stupid "convenient" form factor that makes the whole thing extra delicate because of all the tiny fragile wires.

Just spend 20% of what you spend on a headset and get a table mic and regular headphones. They will be at least twice as good as any headset for a comparable price, and you'll probably never need to replace your microphone as long as you get a decent one.

Most wireless over-ears have enough battery to last you a literal day. You must not charge yours often, user.

These. They sound great, but to use the stereo driver instead of the virtual 7.1 one you need to make sure to not install the software, which does mediocre mixing.

Monoprice DJ headphones. Sound really good but the headband breaks too easily, not recommended.

That mic is discontinued, can't find something like that anymore, but earhook mic alone is still pretty cheap

My divine, negros.

>You must not charge yours often, user.
B-but that harms the battery!

sony wh1000xm3's
best headphones i've had so far but they've not perfect
pros: battery life is fucking great, 30 or so hours, 10 minutes of charge is two hours of use, very quick charge, comfortable for big head/big ears, comfortable over my VR headset, the bluetooth functionality is great and the range extends to the next room over, sound quality is about as good as you can get wireless without spending a few hundred more for some bose, noise cancelling is something I won't be able to go without anymore it's that good
cons: can't use the built in mic while using the headphones plugged in on a cable, the mic forces you to use the cell phone call bandwidth mode when you try to use the headphones and mic at the same time on a PC, sounds awful but I use a desk mic anyways

For me, it's the dt990s

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD598s, but over the past year or so I've transitioned into mainly using a pair of KRK Rokit 5 speakers. I've got tinnitus, and I've become kind of wary about putting loud things up against my ears. Likewise, I make music, and mixing on headphones is something you should only be doing like, 10% of the time. At most.

I'll probably end up doing this. Really though the only game I really worry about sound is Siege. The game requires the use of good headphones to hear foot falls. All my other games I just use PC speaker system.

Nigga I just told you, get yourself a half decent pair of headphones.
Koss makes some absolutely stellar budget headphones, they haven't changed the designs since the fuckin 80s in most cases cause they haven't needed to.
Look into the "Koss Porta Pros"
They'll be better than just about any headphones you'd get in an affordable headset and will only run you maybe 20-30 bucks. They also come with a lifetime warranty and free replacements if you live in the USA

Attached: porta_pro_product_glamor_shot_image.jpg (1200x997, 205.09K)

addendum: Don't trick yourself into thinking "They can't be good, they look cheap!"
Thats how "Gamer" gear sells, they try to make cheap shitty hardware look fancy. This is the opposite, this is really nice hardware in a very cost effective and efficient shell.

Thanks, I'm checking them out now.
