Byleth took the wind out of people's sails when it came to roster discussion, we had nothing but third party heavy hitters ranging from "holy shit he's finally in" to "I never expected this to happen" only to end on a wet fat with "Buy Fire Emblem" the character.
Then followed by an ARMS reveal, while not unwelcome, it wasn't what people really needed to get excited about discussing the roster again. Now we know we're going to get a promotional third party and a shill Pokemon for the Pokemon DLC, there's not much ground left to cover.
The thing about roster discussion is that rosterfags don't actually play the game, have you ever been to a Zig Forums arena? Everyone here sucks at Smash, so if they aren't talking about the roster, there's nothing for them to talk about, hence the lack of threads.

this, personally my biggest issue with smash is the shit movesets some characters have like ganondorf being a fucking falcon clone for some reason and if samurai is just going to affix a band-aid over those problems i'd rather just play mods

ARMS guy and Byleth single-handedly killed rosterfag hype. This is both a good and bad thing, but mostly bad. There also aren't any (realistic) characters left who could be revealed to restore faith.
Ultimate as a game is solved as fuck. Pikachu is the undisputed meta god, because for some stupid reason he is powerful in every single Smash game. Then there's Joker and Wario and Daisy, followed by a power gap so vast it's pointless to pick any other character. Some characters (Donkey Kong, Ridley, Ganondorf, K. Rool, Kirby, etc.) are extremely shitty to the point where they exist on the character select screen to serve as bear traps, as any novice who tries to make them work is just going to get frustrated.
Smash otherwise is just a mess. Subspace Emissary was a failed experiment, with World of Light being a half-assed attempt to salvage it (which also failed.) Nobody actually enjoys the wacky zany item-filled scrolling stage garbage that Sakurai does, not because it's "not competitive" but because it's virtually unplayable.

I think it's more of a Zig Forums centric problem, smash threads are filled with so much bait and shit flinging its hard for new people to join in, and that only happens when we get new character's, which has been delayed because of the flu.

Byleth is shit but killed rosterfaggotry which I appreciate. ARMS triggers Smashies, which is based. If Twintelle is added though then that shit is cringe. Add Min Min instead. Corona killed tournaments so all that is left is competitive players and spectators being butthurt about a blue hedgehog timing them out.

I'm 23 now and started drawing "seriously" when I was 11.
My art journey was surrounding myself with other artists and imitating them. You should find a pro artist who's work you really adore and see why you think their art is good and what makes it good. For reference, when I was younger, I looked up to Takehito Harada (Disgaea artist), Sushio (Studio TRIGGER, did LWA and KLK) and recently Horikoshi who did BNHA.
Art should be fun, if you're forcing yourself to do loomis or whatever you're gonna burn out and stop, draw what you like my dude, good luck.
