Is this game good?
Is this game good?
Yes.
Yep
Yes
No
very much so
Yes
The aesthetic is great.
probably the closest thing to a Thief game since the originals if you play for the best ending
yes
It had the same art director as Half Life 2, right? They look very similar.
Yes, but it suffers from the "be a good boy for the best rewards/ending" syndrome like a lot of other titles.
Indeed, I believe so
shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
Yes. And the game is better if you go for high chaos. That is the morality plebfilter.
Never doubt it
definetly,finished it 2 times
It's a fun game but bad stealth game. It's a game for people who don't like stealth but want to feel stealthy, in my opinion
Yes. Play it.
Would the series be better if it didn't have any morality system?
yes
My mother fucking loved it
good answer
fuck I read that in the exact voice
Also OP the DLC is great (arguably a better plot than the main game). I didn't touch the sequel, anyone?
Didn't Anita Sarkeesian kill off this series? I remember loving the first game but heard the 2nd and Death of the Outsider were absolute garbage that got the series put on the shelf. Reason I said Anita is because she was supposedly a huge part in development of 2 and Death of the Outsider.
no I didn't
its great
>DLC
Alright, noted.
Yes.
There was nothing wrong with 2.
No, it's very mediocre.
yes. best of the 2010s-era shock-likes imo.
there was a lot wrong with 2
the only thing not wrong with 2 is the level design
I did not like that you talk, but I guess it would be weird if Emily didn’t so they had to make Corvo talk too.
It isn't a morality system. It's chaos. How much you kill and destroy has impact on how the disease spreads because of the weakened state and infrastructure. And the high chaos endgame is much more kino than the fag "muh good ending muh self insert no kill goodygoodboy"
It would be better if you weren't punished for using the tools you're given. Yes, the "best" situation is to leave everyone who's just a pawn in a bigger plot alive and expose villains rather than killing them, but every last one of them wants you dead along the way.
Its all because Colantonio was busy with Prey(which ended up being fucking great). Dishonored 2 shitted all over outsider mystery that was set up by previous game. Anita is fucking stupid, and so was Harvey by listening to her, but that resulted only in minor idiotic detail. There are no more whores(who cares) but now women are present in the military but only as high rank officers, meaning there are no female grunts aka regular guards. Retarded. But still, whatever. Gameplay is fucking awesome. Most Emily powers are completely useless for both stealth and assault.
>punished
Nice meme.
You aren't punished. You are just autistic and can't handle getting the "bad" ending because you have the mind of a child
Yes, 2 kinda was a downgrade honestly. it just was less engaging, especially with gay constant narration. It'd be fine if it was just kept to diary notes or just the cutscenes, but they keep hammering it down by having them repeat trite bullshit that puts you out the mood.
It's weird. 1 having a silent protag was a really good idea in retrospect. Silence helps carry the mood much more than narration.
Gameplay-wise 2 is superior. Levels are sort of meh though, people hype up the Clockwork Mansion and then you go there and every neat things to see is shown in the first room. Crack in the Slab is great. The mission where you assassinate the Duke should've had the option to infiltrate yourself as a partygoer like in 1. The biggest flaw of 2 is the story, reusing Delilah for no reasons, killing any sense of mistery the game had by making the Outsider more relatable (I'm ok with his backstory, I just don't like how it's brought up) and giving you back the Heart, and the interlevel hub is just bland.
Now that I think about it it's weird how you can basically ignore the first game's DLC in relation to the main plot because there's maybe three lines of dialogs concerning Daud spoken by Delilah but Billie's the most proeminent side character.
2 is definitely worth playing but I hope that for an hypothetic Dishonored 3 (no reasons the franchise is permanently dead, it's still loved by a lot of people) they go in a slightly different direction. At least changing the cast and the location completely.
What else is wrong with two? The gameplay is literally the same thing, and the level design is just as good. Outside of , which I heavily agree with.
Very good. Especially if you like plagued town setting. I absolutely loved it
Sequel was fun but not nearly as good as the main game nor dlc. Haven't finished the third game yet; seems worse still.
worse story, soundtrack, characters, completely ruins the worldbuilding, negates the dlc of the original, and has boring main targets.
Level design is the only thing that was left intact.
it was just a mistake having corvo/emily being the main characters again. I'd take a fucking sequel with DAUD or god forbid an actual new character instead of having corvo/emily repeating the same shit from the first.
Yes but apparently you need the DLC to enjoy the whole thing.
I wouldn't say you NEED the DLC but it is pretty good. Especially the 2nd one.
Don't bother with the outsider dlc
