Sekiro convinced me they could do a more story driven game with various factions and characters involved in a developing story that we live through and influence (instead of exploring the remnants of like in the DS games)
So long as they don't just hand George R.R. total freeodm on writing story but make it as a collaborative effort, it still will be great I am sure. The way Martin is, do you think they could even get him to finish writing a full story for this?

They only had him write the mythos for the game, information is in the interviews, they know having him under the restrictions of a game story it would be rough on him. They had him write of a time long before we (the player ) are set in. and then they based the story for that

Well that sounds perfect, not only is he not having too much influence over the game (in which his story may override important gameplay elements) but from can just decide to get rid of anything he's written that's shit by simply making it "hidden" lore. Wonderful news.

how many times does it need to be stated that fatty george ISN'T WRITING THE STORY. He's just doing the ancient lore, the worlds mythos. Miyazaki is in charge of the story, and he's made it pretty clear that he's still in overall control of the mythos as well with George being used to bounce ideas off. If Miyazaki didn't like something, it won't get through.
