I have a shitty laptop with gtx 1060 6gb(m) and i7 7700hq, which has a 1080p60fps screen. I dont have a monitor, and only have a cheap 1080p TV.
My parents are gonna need a new TV so I'll give them the one I currently have, and I can spend around 700$ on a TV. Thinking of buying a 4k HDR TV and a ps4 pro. Is it worth it? I'm fine with 30fps, mostly play splayer stuff and no competitive garbage of shooters, and on my laptop I play with a controller anyway because I hate keyboard+mouse. The increase in resolution and graphics seems nice for the cheap price of a ps4 pro, plus I'll get to try out the exclusives. Should I just wait until PS5? I could always just sell the ps4pro in a few months before the release.
Just wait.next gen consoles are releasing this year and the all the old exclusives will play better on it.

I bought a PS4 pro last month to play during isolation. Been having fun playing the exclusives. Objectively smarter idea to wait for the new generation, but if you have the free time and nothing else to play, then you might as well take the plunge now.

If you are looking to play the ps exclusives, buy an xbox or ps controller and use PSNow to play their exclusives on your PC, you have an internet of above 10MB right? you can play their exclusives easily without having a playstation.

If you can find 10+ games you want on the PS4, and the PS4 version is the best version, then go for it. This would be the best time to get it. But if you want to get one just for recently released games or cross platform games, save your money and buy something else like Switch or a new PC.
