Xbox 360 wasn't a fantastic name, but if they went with what people expected, we could have the Xbox 720 instead of the One, and the Xbox 1080 instead of the Series X. Which are much more identifiable as more advanced hardware.
"One" and "Series X" just seem like the different names they'd give old 360 versions, like "arcade" or "elite"

Calling it the 720 would have made people think it couldn't output 1080p, going straight to 1080 would have worked better
