So did Robobot completely eclipse this game in quality or does this game still have a lot of merits of its own?

It's a fun game. Final boss is pretty kino
It has some merits, I suppose. Problem is that the main gimmick, Hypernova, is goddamn awful and the Robobot Armor is just a million times better.
Pretty much this, the Robobot is way more fun
Music is pretty good.
I played it after robobot and I think it's still worth playing. It does feel like an inferior robobot, but the main campaign is still just as enjoyable and has a couple of abilities that aren't in robobot. The final boss is pretty good and there is more True Arena to perfect, so if you want more Kirby you can't go wrong.
to me, TD is the worst of the modern 4 (worse than pre-dlc star allies), it does still have some good points (better subgames, good music, and good characters), but it's bogged down by some weird decisions.
>hypernova (lol just press B and win)
>bosses going into the background (neat idea, and some bosses use it well like the minibosses and sectonia, but some main bosses tend to stick there like flowery woods, paintra and fucking pyribbit)
>abilities losing parts of their moveset (spark lost it's up+b/down+b, ice lost a move or two, and a couple others lost some moves)
>boring worlds (aside from old odyssey and royal road, i barely remember any of the other worlds, though that's probably just me)
robobot takes what TD did, and just made it better. even if it did sacrifice bell and beetle (and dubior EX kinda goes into the shitty background issue).
I do prefer Robobot over Triple Deluxe, but it's stall a good game. Good music, cheery graphics, really good final boss, Dedede mode was fun.
The robobot felt like an evolution to the Kirby play style since it didn't interrupt the flow. Hypernova was just another gimmick.
I wish Archer was brought back in Star Allies. How did they forget we could've had elemental arrows? It made way too much sense.
It does, however people did a 180 when Robobot came out proved they were wrong of being skeptical on it because it came so shortly after TD.
>"shortly after"
>TD release early 2014
I like Triple deluxe over robobot, I think it is slightly better.
Back then people considered it was too soon for another Kirby game on 3DS.
>the game with the least excuse to not use Adeleine
I'm still upset. At least Robobot was thematically different from the norm.
>still no kirby switch game
what the fuck bros
Speaking of abilities that should have been in, Poison should have been an elemental ability, imagine being able to leave behind poisonous goop and gas with a poison sword or poison hammer
Why did it have the least excuse, is it because dee’s role was basically ado’s role. I’m pissed off that’s all he did in that game, his king got fucking captured and he does is give Kirby food and keychains, it feels like wasted potential.
Are you joking
Bump
Fuck off adofag
for what reason would Ado need to be there?
I don’t like how world 2 and world 5 in planet robobot are both city worlds, it could have used more variety.
I'm gonna chop the shit out of that there Kirby.
Robobot is the only Kirby platformer I haven't played
Is it worth 20 bucks if the only Kumazaki game I like is Star Allies post-dlc? Triple Deluxe was fucking boring
Uh user...
Sectoria's music.
Planet robobot and star allies needed more original bosses, after triple deluxe, it felt like they tried rehashing every boss they could, I feel like this problem is worse in planet robobot than in star allies
robobot is gud my niggalig
its kirb
Rhythm Route is fine
Resolution Road is probably the most boring one of the bunch, could've swapped it with some else more interesting
Its worth it its one of the best Kirby games in the series imo
I liked hypernova more than Robobot but I just really dislike playing the robot. Hypernova wasn't much but it never made me not want to play.
I'd argue its worse in SA since you fight the bosses more than once in the main story
>abilities losing parts of their moveset (spark lost it's up+b/down+b, ice lost a move or two, and a couple others lost some moves)
holy fuck im so glad im not the only one who was bothered by this
fucking beam revolution rip never forget
I agree, Rhythm route was way better than resolution road, the night setting fits a city theme more. What would have been a better world 2 theme, I remember someone once said a ski resort.
The music is as good as PR
You technically also do that with meta knight in planet robobot, also Susie and max haltmann feel a little too similar, but so do the mage sisters. I’m pretty sure there are more regular bosses in star allies over all, though.
dee really should've had a role in the plot somewhere in the 3ds games. i remember an user saying at one point that dee should've been a boss in robobot, with him being absent from the normal spot, but then susie revealing she also turned him into a robot. just put him over one of the mecha knight battles.
I’m still confused to why they did this, I miss needle’s spin dash, actually, I just miss needle in general, why didn’t it appear in planet robobot or star allies
>final boss of Robobot
>Kirby gets blasted by laser
>Meta Knight runs in and launches the robot at Star Dream
>Kirby grows a giant fucking drill arm
>TFW we'll never get to use the Robobot in another game.
Honestly, I was hoping it'd end up being the Planet Robobot Dream Friend over Susie.
