Aren't these people established actors? Half of them don't even sound like they're reading the lines properly, it's like Kung Pow levels of bad with Duran talking calmly to the fortune teller while flailing his arms around violently. I see a lot of people shitting on Charlotte but at least she has character and consistency, Valley Girl Angela is great too, but Reize might as well be a robot. Zero emotions.
Still fun to play at least and the OST is an easy 11/10.
The jap vas are worse as someone who knows the basic of both.

First of all, dodging is disabled CS does not carry over between battles but builds faster now per attacks/power attacks Whenever a boss or enemy does a super special move i.e. (not bilben throwing a shuriken but rather doing a shadow bomber), the controls freeze for the player and they are stuck in place until the attack is over. Conversely the player's special moves will also have the same effect on enemies, biggest change will be all enemies freeze whenever an item is used and the item will have priority
Thoughts? Improvements? It could bring back that OG SD3 feel.
some of the elemental voices are shockingly bad. The gay voice on the light one and the fire guy who just sounds like they grabbed someone walking out of a high school and had him do the lines on his first try I actually like charlotte, though I wish it was someone with a bit higher voice to fit the childish accent.

I know Japanese as well and I would say that in general they are better. There are notable exceptions, like Dragon Emperor sounding gay, but VAs doing characters like bigieu don't have these long awkward pauses between words. "My name is..... Isabella. I serve.... his Dark Majesty" or some really unnatural shit.

I'm positive most people can voice act well enough with the right direction. Western dubs just have awful, awful directors. For original western games they're pretty good for the most part.

Yes, you just keep all of the unique NPC skills if I remember correctly.
If you choose two new characters and someone you used before though you'll end up with two lvl 1s and a lvl 70 or whatever unfortunately....so keep that in mind.
