It's empty as fuck and devoid of challenge if you go all out
The story, similarly, works when you don't overthink it but fails if it doesn't really tick any boxes for you right away

I don't think its bad but you need to approach it with an open mind. The mechanics of combat and magic are weird, unconventional and mostly broken but if you can get past that there's still a lot to like about the game.
