Orcs were never Chimer. Two splinter groups of Aldmer broke off. The group that followed Trinimac became the Orsimer and the group that followed boethiah became the chimer.
Fun fact: both Orsimer AND Chimer (and thus dunmer) were changed by the shittening event, not just Orcs. Literal in-game book:-
