What are you talking about? The first Witcher is objectively the best of the franchise.

Well, see. First you want to buy the games. And then you want to install them.
After that comes the tricky part. You launch the fucking game and play through it, taking your time because it's a hobby, not an obligation.

The atmosphere, story and music are really good. But if you really care about the combat, then you may not be able to stand the game. I don't care about combat in games at all and even I got a bit annoyed by the clunkiness at some points.

>how do i bring myself to complete both the witcher 1
By understanding that it's the only good and not entirely casualized Wicher game?

The Witcher 1's combat just takes some getting used to. Apart from timing the inputs which is pretty simple, you just need to know to drink potions and use oils before fighting (the buffs last a pretty long time), and switch between stances depending on the enemies you're fighting. I actually like it a lot more than Witcher 2's combat which is basically a shit action game.

If you want to complete Witcher 1, skip some sidequests whenever you can. It gets good after the second half of Chapter 3, and Chapter 4's ambiance is probably the best of the franchise.
Witcher 2 is good, a lot of people prefer this handcrafted path over the vast open world of 3.

I finished both sides in Witcher 2 and still haven't finished Witcher 3.

I hated how he said cataplepas

Tw1 unironically the best of the series.

Just skip the entire first two games. They truly aren't worth your time.

don't actually skip sidequests tho (only skip the obvious "collect 12 bear asses" ones if you're so inclined)

Why? You're going to complete those naturally just doing others anyway. It's free experience.

>how do i bring myself
The whole trilogy is story driven. If you don't enjoy 1 and 2, chances are you aren't going to enjoy the third game either.

Also, pick Siegfried.

>witcher 1
Literally gets better the further you play
>and 2?
Is absolute shit from the get-go.

Correct.

why do you want to play the witcher 3, but not 1 or 2?

TW1 is the ONLY game worth your time.

>not siding with elves
It's like you're not even trying to hide your inceldom anymore

Literally the only time in the entire franchise where siding with elves was the better option is Witcher 2. But nobody did, so they swept it under the rug and only included Roche.

1 is kino and gets better the futher you go (it starts shit) climaxing in one of the best final acts of a video game i have ever played
2 is consolefied and it hurts it

People rushing through or outright skipping Witcher 1 and 2 is a classic example of missing the best in the series in order to get to the objectively worse, but shinier new game. I've seen it with a few other series too and it's a shame.

Have you tried not being an ADD zoomer?

1 > 3 > 2 but I still like all of them

Just play the third part, you won't really miss out on anything.

>skip some sidequests
Some sidequests give you important lore and character introductions
Take your time

You can still enjoy Witcher 3 without playing the first 2 games as probably 70% of the people that played it did. Just take your ADHD medication and play it.

The Witcher 1 gets real good around act 3 and keeps going to the end. The Witcher 2 is short enough that you won't mind beating it.

fpbp

OP if you don't like the first one just skip to the 3rd and also >>>/reddit/

"B-because it's the latest, so it must be the best! I-I don't have time to play all games!!"

>The Witcher 2 is short enough that you won't mind beating it.
it took me twice longer to beat than W1, because I hated playing the darn thing. It's such a slog.

Sounds like a you problem. Played through recently on Insanity, it still took me less time to beat than 1.

Yeah I can understand that. Shit was boring, I think I skipped a good amount of side quests.

TW1 picks up the second you get into Vizima which is like 3 hours of gameplay

Witcher 1 felt like a good streamlined RPG. The only issues I have with it is how NPC spawns are randomized. You can miss quests when that happened.

Just fucking play it faggot
