Why is listening the game in Japanese more comfortable than listening in English?

im not native english speaker and I know japanese, there's no reason to listen english dub, simple as that, and there's no good english dub btw, they all sound like the same.

Because western voice actors don’t play a character, they just use their own normal voice so the character becomes the actor instead. Also western dubbers change things about the game, either the name of the game itself, or the names of characters or just completely rewrite entire sections of the game. Character personalities completely change between the western and original version of the game because there’s no respect for the source material.
It’s the year 2020, learning Japanese is easier than ever there’s no point in this day and age in playing the western version of the game. Just play the original

I'm not fond of how voice acting in the west is treated as lesser and those who make it their main profession aren't celebrated more. Like you couldn't give Sonic the Hedgehog his official English voice and had to replace it with this dude? I'm not saying Ben Schwartz did a horrible job, but was Roger Craig Smith such a deplorable option? Did they HAVE to shill out a "real" actor instead one one that's been doing Sonic's voice for years?

Have you ever heard any actual voice actor flex their range? They're capable of it. But you know it's not that different from some Japanese productions in that the directors want 'THAT' voice. People want to hear Tomokazu Sugita do THAT voice. People want to hear Steve Blum do THAT voice. People want to hear Johnny Yong Bosch do THAT voice. They have range, but they're picked for being recognizable.

Don’t care about western shit so I never hear western voice actors, the only western media I’ve seen in the last few years was when I took my girlfriend to watch frozen II in theatres, for some reason it wasn’t dubbed into Japanese.

The one and only thing I can say to JP over EN for media in general is that voice acting in Japan is way more relevant and cultivated as a job by a wider number of people, while your usual English-voiced game has Nolan North for the 8th billionth time and the likes

It's not about the quality of the voice acting it's about you talking out of your ass and saying things that simply aren't true like they simply use a Normal Voice. It's usually about as normal as any popular Japanese VA

this, thats why I dont play english games, they do things like neptunia localization or the legend of heroes, totally fanfics, jokes that only english native speaker laugh or unironically bad in other lenguages. Its more easy to learn japanese and play thing in original source, feels great to play games and dont even have to read 'cuz they speak and you understand everything

The voice actors are probably paid less actually. But the voice acting industry is a lot bigger in japan. In the west, they just hire anyone in texas and call it a day. They know they can get away with hiring nobodies because dub tards will put up with it, anything to not have to read.
