I looked at the wiki, every current problem with DQ8 can be solved by just switching to software mode. So if you start the game in hardware mode just press F9.

The fucking PS3 emulator managed to progress far better than PCSX2, it's absurd.

RPCS3 has done a lot in a really short time but it can't playably run even close to as many games as PCSX2 can, but you're probably right in the longrun, I bet in 3-4 years RPCS3 will be able to playably run a higher percentage of games than PCSX2 can at its current rate of progress.

The unsung hero here is Xenia. Never before has an emulator demanded such a powerful fucking GPU. It can saturate a 1080Ti playing RDR1.

I finished Ratchet and Clank on my PS2. Wanted to play it on RPCS3 in HD edition. But it just wont run on full speed. It's 30fps to 40fps. I have a cheap cpu ryzen 3 1200. Maybe it's time for an upgrade

At this point it's better just to play on a cheap ps2 with freemcboot with some component cables and put your games on the hdd/pc.

RPCS3 still has many unplayable games though. Games like MGS4, Uncharted, Last of Us and even early titles like Motorstorm or Blazing Angels. They are either very unstable and crash heavy, with new versions of the emulator sometimes fucking up things even further to the point that MGS4 doesn't boot anymore on the latest git version, or they are full of graphical glitches. RPCS3 is progressing amazingly well but compatibility and regressions still need a lot of work

I played Samurai Warriors 4 on it, not to mention the lag, the audio was more crunchier than a bag of chips

Persona 3 FES, Persona 4, and Silent Hill 2 are all games I beat as of a random 1.5.0 nightly build and they ran flawlessly. P4 I ran in software mode, the others hardware.
