DMC-world's timeline is fucked. Demons ruled the earth 2000 years ago and humanity was about to go extinct, at that time in reality we had the Roman empire. Human history in their world just must be an infinite dark age until Sparda came along. They probably have shit for international manufacturing too, so no cheap-ass computer parts shipped from China, everything is 80's and 90's tech except what a few freak geniuses like Nico can make on their own time.

I don't even know if real countries exists in the canon anymore, I think America might have been mentioned in the manual for DMC1 but that might have been retconned.

Honestly I wish they would just lean more into the whole fantasy world aspect and establish what's different and not different from IRL.

I vaguely remember seeing somewhere his DMC5 age being placed around 25, but it's been so long i can't remember where. Might have been some side material, they never really put much thought into making ages precise and official.

And I just found that the novel mentions Savior incident occurred 5 years before Nico met Nero, and then there is another year before game's events start to take place. If 17 is true, that would make Nero 23 in DMC5.

More specific timeline that helps
Dante is 18 in DMC3 manga, then a year passes since he met Vergil in the manga, meaning he's 19 during the game. This also means Nero was also 19 since he's stated to be the same age in 4 as Dante was in 3. Then ten years pass meaning he's 29 in DMC1 and in his early 30's in DMC2. Then ten years or so pass since 1 when 4 happens so he's 38-39 depending and finally 5 takes place several years later and since Nero is stated to be 25 during the events of 5, that would place Dante being 45-46 depending in the month.
