im going assassin for the damage output i believe it will have.

but damn i get sad i look at all that pimping gear thats exclusive to MKnights.

I think so. I prefer playing it early-mid game though. There is a move that have i-frames, which is a lot of fun to master. it got some good charge attacks, some smaller mobs cc. But the class feels uncomplete compared to the other classes as it only have 3 abilities to use instead of 6. And later on, the best standard attack is jumping light attack which get boring

Mystic Knight was a fucking blast. Felt like I had an answer to every scenario, and stone forest is fucking awesome. Didn't really bother setting up traps like a lot of people did though.

like the game plays like normal until your in range of combat then it pauses and you take a turn, or maybe multiple turns when climbing. Can be sort of 3D grid based, but not shown, so say a troll is let's say 8 blocks high and 4 blocks wide on your turn you can move 3 spaces, so maybe climb up two and left one (maybe to avoid a swooping harpy). I think it could be real tactical and deep

MKnight is the only way to go for the Light Paladin or Dark Knight looks. Fighter is more Court General/Army Infantry and Warrior is mercenary/Berserker.

im 48, with my rental pawns both 55. and we still get ass kicked by the harpies and hellhounds.

I have no tips for you since I've never once had that problem ingame. Could be you're just retarded.

It shouldn't matter too much. If it bothers you, you can switch to sorcerer and level that for a little while before swapping to MK to balance your stats out a bit, but honestly it won't make a massive difference.

I think I specced in almost every vocation at least once during my playthrough, mostly because I like to unlock passive skills, but I enjoyed pretty much everything I've played. Strider, Ranger, Magick Archer, Sorcerer and Warrior are all favorites for me, but eventually I will give Mystic Knight the proper attention.

Running assassin with no bow is fun as fuck. 2nd choice would be Mystic Knight. If Warrior's abilities didn't blow ass it would probably be one of my favorites.

Look, the joke is that by the late game, when you have to refine you combat strategies, the Warrior is by far the worst class, and the best way to play it is to continously junp while doing air strikes. It's sad, but Warriors just weren't designed very good.
A shame because I love hammer-swinging amazons, but it's just not optimal.

So you want the regular game but with FFT/Disgaea combat? I don't see why that would be preferable to the current gameplay, especially since DD's gameplay is nearly one of a kind.

I agree, but as you said it only really starts mattering during late game, which to be fair is pretty far into the game for an average player. Even though it's the worst class in design, it can still be very fun to play during any time before late game, since the animations and their weight are very satisfying to at least experience once.

Your physical appearance doesn't affect your vocation choices. You can make yourself pretty tiny so a shota should be possible.

Carry weight might be an issue but you can get an augment from the fighter class called sinew which increases carry capacity.

but user, there's no auto-aim for the daimon's second form!
