No. Mechons are synthetic but not built. Think Android 17/18 from DB for how they are on the inside (obviously different circumstances for their creation).

I can't tell if this is a shitpost or if you were just trying to pop some Xenoblade 2 into the thread, but obviously not. Mechon, and Machina are species created by Mayneth, on the Mechonis. Would you classify every robot as a Mechon? Would you call an Artifice a Mechon?

The Mechon aren't a species in the same way the Machina are, they're just weapons created by the Machina.

Would be a good way to end 1/2. No more adventures with either, both did their part to save the people of their worlds and now their adventures are over (except a potential FC in XC2DE some 5 years from now with the same ending)

Melia was left pretty unsatisfied at the end of XB1 (her wondering about the fate of her people and what she'll do next) so her melancholic tone suits her honestly.
