The nice thing about Melty is that likes basically everyone that has ever touched an anime fighting game likes it, and the netcode is fantastic so even if it isn't really in its heyday anymore if you just "hey anyone wanna Melty" you'll always get some takers
Make sure your keyboard doesn't have ghosting issues and try a hitbox style layout with up bound to Space. Keyboard is actually a pretty common input method for Melty because traditional poverty shit

This is the download pretty much everyone uses that has a built in caster/server or whatever you want to call it. Basically all you'll need to do is select online set up a match and you'll get a little code, to which when you share it others can search it and get lobbied with you.
