>tfw no l4d like game where you can play as a gaurdsman atbites or inquisitor and fight plague zombies
I'm still waiting for another game where I can play as the Necrons.
Dark Crusade was amazing. Hell, every 40k game with Necrons in it has been good.
>stops your path with autocannons
BEWARE THAT GRENADE!
>t.trayzan
fantasy is better
Nah, I've always preferred members of the Sautekh dynasty. Trazyn is a lil' thieving bitch.
>vermintide 2 but 40k
>overly zealous commissar that treats his allies like expendable drones. buffs and heals teammates
>catachan commando black dude that speaks in ebonics. good at close combat with his shotgun and combat knife
>overly boisterous space marine with boltgun and chainsword. tanky hero
>assassin with a sniper rifle and cloaking technology. good at sneak attacks and high ranged damage
>enemies are tyranids of all varieties
Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 has a Necron campaign
Amar-kun is a great deadpan
it's a shame the campaign is just a long drag
>autocannons
jej
>catachan commando black dude that speaks in ebonics. good at close combat with his shotgun and combat knife
it's shit
well damn, looks like I'll have something to play after I beat Gladius. Thanks, user.
We need a 40k game based on a event in 40k.
>Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 campaigns

THEY HAVE US TARGETED!
id prefer to have customizable guardsmen, eiither famous regiments or custom trooper, autoguns and lasguns and bolters and heavy weapons oh my
it looked like they were wanting to make a 4x game.
but they needed to keep those autistic zoomers busy with dumb assfaggot gameplay
40k just isn't allowed to have good games since THQ died. yes you can make a case for battlefrleet gothic and mechanicus but nothing truly outstanding has ever come from 40k minus space marine and DOW1/2 (which were from THQ)
>dumb assfaggot gameplay
you know battlefleet gothic was a tabletop game, user? the strategic map has little 4x depth besides maneuvering your fleets to engage the enemy
I'm convinced you need high functioning autism with a decent IQ to understand Warhammer 40k or whatever. I tried listening to the first audiobook and couldn't even past chapter 1. Shit was so convoluted and confusing. It starts off talking about multiverses and different dimensions and timelines and nothing is relevant or connected at all.
Are you just suppose to pick a timeline and faction that you think is cool or something?
there's one timeline, it's that the events of the 41st millennium rely heavily on the events of the 31st
dawn of war was a tabletop game too, and look what happened to dawn of war 3 the moment, the ***MOMENT*** they introduced assfaggots gameplay to that the entire thing just collapsed in on itself like a fucking supermassive blackhole made of shit
It's been around for 30 years over dozens of videogames, hundreds of books, hundreds of comics and a metric fuckton of plastic/metal model releases and rulebook updates. As such you are faced with the dilemma of;
>Going through everything in chronological order and getting overwhelmed
Or
>Starting from a random point you think looks cool and having a bunch of shit go over your head for a while
The second one is basically the expected one with any videogame or even the board game (pick an army, buy the rulebook supplement they need which has the basic lore in it, go from there). /tg/ has the PDF scans of basically every codex so maybe start with one of those?
how is ELITE doing anyway? haven't played it in years it feels like.
>heyhey people indrid here
they made the inquisition their own faction recently
I'm always amused that the first regular marine to become primaris (and get a model) is a Blood Raven, rather than the Ultra Smurf Calgar.
I remember they've been around forever though. grey knights right?
yeah, but they've brother-captain, eversor assassin, and daemon hunter commanders now
the stort of w40k is fucking mess full of retkoning plot holes, and cheese
pick a random faction you think is cool and just read about them
if you really wish to get into lore, just watch emparor TTS, it guides you well thru major factions events characters in nice comfortable pace, with both humour and actually decent story
How to get started with 40k:
>install Dark Crusade
>don't actually start playing, just look at the campaign factions and choose one that you think looks cool/interesting
>skim over the factions article at wh40k.lexicanum.com
>either start playing, or continue reading by just clicking any link with an interesting name on the article
From there, curiosity will do the rest.
he's a terminator in campaign, the primaris model is an unlockable and not cannon
where are those screenshots taken from ?
that doesn't change that bfga is a game about broadsides, ramming, and boarding parties
there's nothing assfaggots about it
He may not be a cannon, but even so it remains canon.
>from silly mace to PIMP CANE
goto tier bullshit. that story really angered me, i refuse to believe that state of the art engineered supersoldiers with superminds would allow fresh recruits to be butchered mindlessly like that. the thunder warriors were a bunch of psychotic berserkers that were falling apart and riddled with tumors, but those were fucking primaris goddammit, it took 10 millennia to make them!
Wait, they what!?
Gonna have to update it.
from the game, user
you made me boot it up for the first time in 2 years to take this screenshot
GUNS HOT
BLOOD COLD
>map where you have to entrench and hold out while playing as Krieg guardsmen
i've never played dawn of war III that's why i was asking. I am disappointed but thanks anyway
wait what, that's not just a joke? What happened?
