Because starting stats are pointless. Poison resistance is largely useless as POISON is useless. Adrenaline rush is shit once you get the respite perk, and any player not rolling Nord gets fucked up the ass by twinkle-dink ice mages which are amongst the most proliferous shitters in the damn game. If you want to play as a black person, just play as a black Nord, it's what I do.

Nah man, it's the ice storms you have to watch out for. Those fucking AoE shitslingers can fuck you up regardless of level unless you base your character around shitting on them instead. The Obsidian Sentinel build is the best for that.
