Hipchecks you
I don't remember him being half as obnoxious in older games, or is that just me?
I'm so burned out from the game atm. Nothing much else to do but browse e621 and pixiv.
>disconnected mid-fight against Jiva again
FIX YOUR FUCKING STEAM PORT CAPCOM HOW HARD CAN IT BE HOLY SHIT
FIX YOUR GAME
FIX IT
I didn’t kill this bitch until the last 10 seconds of the hunt and it was a graze on his nails and he hopped to the wall. The proceeding encounters weren’t as tough though.
so uh remember Velk's "freezing" attack that makes your movement shit and gives it a free hit? Now imagine if it can actually hit you. Barioth's going to be doing that every time it goes the dunk once its arms are buffed
based capcom dabbing on pcheats
>over 500 hunts on switch axe
>still learning how the moves work and which ones to use
yeah i'm a genius alright
He was definitely more obnoxious in Tri but breaking its wings there actually crippled him hard unlike in IB where it barely does shit.
They deliberately tried to make Barioth a difficulty spike for players going through the story, which I personally think is a pretty shitty way to design a fight because the devs usually end up prioritising difficulty (or just annoyance) rather than fun.
>fun
is a buzzword
I was actually thinking of Tri when I made that post, I recall being able to take him down with no issues, but maybe that has to do with Lance being stronger in that game compared to World.
Fuck Blackveil Vaal
I got filtered by IB Barioth and feel no shame. I will beat him eventually, but I am in no rush to do so as I am happy to get better fighting other monsters. Feels good.
Haven't played World since first Kulve Taroth event. Worth getting back in? I liked World for a while but it was so different and it just wasn't doing it for me. Monster selection was my biggest concern but now the classics are in Iceborne. But I've missed a lot of events so I might have to use shit sets!
Slot in Miasma
>World has full character customization and lets you change you character design later
>except for the name, you have to use a save editor for that
I PAYED FULL PRICE FOR THIS GAME IT SHOULD WORK, FUCK YOU
ACTUALLY I BOUGHT IT ON SALE BUT STILL
Buzzword is the new buzzword
Tri Barioth being easier than the IB version doesn't mean he's less obnoxious.
>slow ass fuck area transitions
>combos you easier because no delayed rise
>less player mobility to catch up to him
People were okay with him being a bitch because his spike mechanic actually did something in that game and he was one of the few fights in MH where the monster gets crippled the more you kick the shit out of its weakness. IB kinda tramples on that idea and takes a lot of the dynamic out of the fight and makes him feel like every other boss.
evade window 5 feels like it should be the default actually being able to dodge through shit
Go to the training area
stop playing in borderless
Get extender 3 with window and turn into a god
I did and killed it first try but it was fucking cancer
So who sent all the fleets to the new world? That'd require some pretty advanced civilization.
It's a shame the game is filled with weird lingering hitboxes so it often feels less useful than it should
I'd rather fight 3 of these at the same time than face Tigrex and its bullshit hitbox again
Not really, I mean their advanced enough to build boats.
How are generic wooden ships an advanced civilisation? Even if mh one is pretty advanced like upper medieval
The Guild
It's much less cancer compared to normal and its fart blankets
You can even change gender and all, why the hell not allow people to change the character name?
It's weird because we don't really know much about MH civilization because it isn't prevalent to being a monster hunter. Dundorma appears to be some sort of monarchy with his immenseness, Val Habar might be some weird merchant's guilt, Jumbo and Kokoto are just small villages that might be part of something greater.
Are there wars between people due to political disputes? Is there history besides constantly killing monsters to make sick swords? It doesn't really matter, and I'd prefer the games didn't go into it, but it's still interesting.
