Modded Skyrim is probably one of the best gaming experiences of my lifetime and I've started playing games in the 90's when I was 7. Mainly because you can turn it into the game of your dreams. Vanilla game is trash though even though the atmosphere is comfy as fuck.

Skyrim is the perfect game for people who don't play games, you can step into it even if you're completely new to gaming. You're less-than-subtly lured to certain locations where they've set up the right perspective for a first reveal, and bounced from one quest to another thanks to their very loud and well placed NPCs.
