its def more usable than the old one but it still isnt good
The fuck? When'd that happen?
It was the first build I managed to beat the game with and the build I killed the heart for the first time with.
>tfw you have an absolutely absurd Watcher setup with mummified hand, up to 15 mana per turn in some fights and tons of card draw
Might not be an infinite loop, but it was hilarious watching her ramp up to insane levels. Free ragnaroks and crap.
Mummified hand is pretty broken. Always go for it if you can and then just fill your deck with expensive rare cards and normal cards and tons of cheap power cards.
t. sentry
Did someone say...
Perfected strike?
Begone, you mediocre deck-filler.
Why would anyone bother with this card when heavy blade exists, scales to strength, and synergizes way better with the cheaper non strike cards like cleave?
What do you guys usually pick at this event? slay-the-spire.fandom.com
Yeah boss fight. Not too permanent, not too difficult.
because nob
early elite mean you need damage immediately
although carnage is better
Because heavy blade requires way more luck and setting up.
Perfected strike upgraded and with a couple extra strike cards can be effective without the need to set up.
By this point your deck should be good enough to obliterate all previous tiers's bosses
It's insanely good in a status deck. Just use Dark Embrace and Evolve with medical kit and load up your deck with wound cards. You'll be very powerful. If you're lucky enough to get Juggernaut and Feel No Pain the enemy won't stand a chance.
This.
The late game makes those bosses look like a joke. Their damage output isn't really all that high nor is their health.
The tentacle, the maw and the floaty mask scythe thing are way tougher and they're normal enemies.
bossfight
Sadly watcher doesnt have as many effective builds for it. My favorite I managed was a thin alpha+ deck with scry and vault with gambling chip
>Discard cards other than alpha unless it was a draw card/vault
>Play alpha
>Scry
>Find beta, draw it
>Play it, vault
>Next turn play Omega
>Watch as e everything dies
By the end I had a deck size
>floaty mask scythe thing
That's actually an elite, but no one will fault you for thinking he's actually a normal encounter.
I'm pretty sure it's the only enemy to use intangible too.
Alpha was made for vault abuse. Though in a pinch energy mining and upgrading and free card draw is good too.
I think the Watcher works best if you can get a way to get her to generate a lot of energy quickly Diva Form is worth it if you can offset its initial cost. But to get the best value out of it you have to have an engine that gets you ramp up card draw. Nothing worse than sitting on energy with no cards to actually use.
Either that or have a good engine for switching between rage, calm and mining for mantra (only if you get the 5 worship card, the 2 per turn one and maybe one zero cost 3 mantra card, otherwise those cards can end up dead weight).
You want some good cards for that. Tantrum and the 0 cost rage card and upgraded 1 cost attack I always keep.
Also really underrated watcher card is the one that leaves a debuff that gives you two armour for every attack. Its easier to spam attacks as the watcher than play defensively. Truly the best defence is a good offense with her. Or at least being able to go neutral/calm after that rage.
Card that puts you into rage and then gives you two cards next turn is really handy too. Especially if you have the 0 cost calm card that retains since you have an out.
Theres also the mark deck but you need really lucky early pulls to do that one I feel.
>neow gives me juggernaut at the beginning of my run
>make a solid juggernaut+metalicize deck
>fuck up and die at the end
>neow gives me a rare card to start my next run
>juggernaut
Rage/Calm is okay. Easily controlled.
Calm/rage/mantra is shit because you'll lose mantra form too much. Mantra/calm is okay, use the cards that exit/into calm so that every turn ends in calm which can provide armour at end of turn.
Is the console version still way behind pc update wise?
It's insanely good, though. If you pair with Evolve you can trigger chain reactions every turn. Just having one makes all the garbage curses in your deck an asset. It makes all the status-generating cards a net plus. This all for 1-energy.
At high Asc I go for Act 1 boss fight, but for casual runs its Normalityx2 every time.
Mark is good because all you need to pull it off is more Marks, and it's common enough that it's not too hard to accomplish. After that, it's just defensive stuff.
Not really. The watcher came out a couple weeks ago.
Fire Breathing is a great card Act 1, especially if you can get it with an Evolve, but it's just literal TRASH after Act 1.
And against the Heart it's literally useless.
Boss or 999 gold if I have an Omamori, a Discard deck or there are 1-2 shops still on the path. It depends on the situation.
Post your total playtime Zig Forums. Let's see if you actually know how to play Slay the Spire
>that one meme run that you'll never have again
What was it? For me it was a ghost deck that got spoon and bowl immediately after on ironclad
The fuck? It starts getting good after Act 1, when you really start being able to put the pieces together and get Mark of Pain and shit. You don't want some pointless power without the support for it early on.
Searing Blow +12 run with Dual Wield+ and Snecko.
Shit was so cash money after I was able to get the deck down to like 15 cards default, and then exhaust everything else not useful
I've got a choice between Slaver's Collar and Black Blood for this run's first boss reward. What do?
