Dark Souls

If you fix the Leaning Tower of Pisa, it's just a fucking tower.

The flaws, when found alongside actual legitimate passion and drive, create soul.

What sort of flaws add charm and character to games?
Can it be defined or quantified?

Wait a sec...

Wasn't the leaning tower deliberately constructed that way i.e. not a flaw, just unique?

The whole reason it's a popular tourist attraction is that was built on unstable soil and tilted but never fell. If it was deliberate no one would care.

>nothing is perfect
>you can still enjoy it

Pretty sure the foundation started to sink during construction. Considering it is like 900 years old, people would have been pretty insane to deliberately build it that way

Nope, but I believe that the tower has then been reinforced so that it won't eventually collapse.

Ah that's probably what I'm thinking of then, the reinforcements. I'm retarded.

Anyone have the pic of all the tourists doing the stupid pose?

Flaws can add to a game
Like how Pokemon Red and Blue/Green is a buggy piece of shit but abusing the glitches is really fun

Glitches make games funner and reward smart and intelligent people. However they have to feel natural.

I would shit my pants if I was on the top of that thing. Most of my nightmares include being on the top floor of unstable buildings. The worse ones are when im near a window and I can feel the wind making the building sway back and forth.
Video games.

I’m fine if glitches don’t feel natural as long as they are kind of out of the way and not shit like a game improperly loading in shit or softlocking. I loved glitch hunting as a kid. I discovered a lot of Mario 64 speedrun shit without the internet just by fucking around

it adds soul

ARMA 3

I must still praise, but would instantly prefer anything that is as good with all the features including moddability, but runs +15 fps more than it

Classic survival horror in a nutshell.

Feeling the sway is based as fuck dude.

wabi-sabi

That's why I always loved the Arch. The thing sways so heavily on a windy day you feel like it will collapse.

>"Experts say the famous tower at Pisa will lean for at least another 200 years. It may even stay upright well, almost upright forever. ... A few ill-advised construction projects accelerated the Leaning Tower's invisibly slow fall during the past couple of centuries; it tilted 5.5 degrees, its acutest angle ever, in 1990"

>t. suicidal people

No it's fucking not. It makes my stomach turn just thinking about it. God forbid I ever find myself in that position outside of dreams.

I don't like the idea of it collapsing. I think it's very interesting to be in a building or structure that moves.

Mistakes into miracles.

I’m disappointed in you, son.

but muh author’s intent!

any "jank" game like pathologic, eye, etc

If he wanted a normal tower he should have studied the soil.
That's just poor art.
