Installs 64GB or more RAM

If trends keep up every single AAA game is going to be over 100GB next gen

And who is that a problem for besides poorfags?

You know it's still up to the software in question to decide when/how to load assets from disk to memory, right?
And good game programmers stopped being a thing back in the 90s.

if trends keep up every single AAA game is just graphics next gen

Who gives a shit about AAA games? When was the last one that had any impact?

Yeah thats what Im meaning, if they can make use of more ram to achieve the same thing with sata ssds , which they can, but yeah it comes down to competence

Planning on building a new PC next year. What's a good amount of RAM to go with that will last me most of next gen? I haven't build a PC since 2012 when 8GB was seen as pretty decent.

it's not the same because you can't install a 100GB game on 64Gigs of ram.

16GB system + 8GB video card should probably be your minimum.

Next gen consoles will have 16Gigs, so be sure to put like twice the amount.

You don't actually think this is how it works, right? This is a bait thread?

64gb ddr4 ram alone is like 250-350$

What the hell are you even talking about

>would of
ESL shitters need to leave this website

I can if it's a fitgirl repack.

>LOL U NEED 64GB RAM TO VIDYA!!!

Can you fuck off richfag? Poorfag here and I know you can vidya easily with 8GB or more.

>PS5/UE5 touting 8k textures
Try 1-2TB games.

>games will be larger than the SSD capacity

good going retard, any other laughs?

OP is a retard and thinks putting games on a ramdisk will improve loading times and shit. It doesn't. There's no difference between a SATA SSD and running a game off ram. Future games might be coded in a way where it matters, but right now it doesn't. Not to mention you can't put a 150GB game on 64 gigs on ram.

32gb is the new minimum

Fuck off

Please stop pretending to be retarded. It's not healthy.

Don't hate me because I'm right.

no, I think that id devs want they can optimize their games for more ram, to achieve similar results to the ssd in ps5

>or more

He's playing video games bought from the Steam store, not flight sims or DAWs.

>muh leaks and rumors
don't talk like you know shit, smoothbrain consolekid

16gb is fine for now.

HL Alyx needs 12gb of ram. Add in the OS needs and the Valve tax, you'll be glad you got 32gb at minimum.

>newfag tells someone to leave

>VR gaming
lol

Unused ram is wasted ram

>sour grapes
lol

That's not how it works you fucking retard

It's not ram, its storage, very fast storage.
But that said
>Installs PCI-E 4.0 NVME drive with 4TB
>can install more than two games on the drive at once

at some point there's gonna be a flush and then you'll see a loading screen while you wait for ram to fill up with new assets from the hdd.

>pulls 1TB-2TB literally straight from his ass
>don't act like you know what you're talking about

ya its called cutscenes, ps5 will be chalk full of them

>VR gaming

You are a fucking clown and fell for a dumb meme, congratulaitons

But yes, 20GB of RAM seems more reasonable if you are into that sort of wacky stuff. 32GB is not necessary at all

>SSD capacity is exactly what my headcanon says it will be!
