It took 6 months after 2016 released for Mick to perfect the mixing on the OST. Bethesda put him in a bind this time because they insisted it had to be done at launch because they'd promised it to people to bought the deluxe edition or whatever it's called and they could be sued if they didn't have it. However, Gordon is a perfectionist and refused to rush-job it to be done in time, thus Bethesda took it into their own hands.

Sounds like they hired an artist when they thought they were hiring a worker drone. Of course he'd be pissed off if you're telling him to compromise his sound to meet a deadline.

the guy is making a soundtrack for a video game, not a Mozart tier symphony. He does what he is paid to do, and while he has the freedom to leave whenever he wants, he literally 'signed the contract' as some would say. He could have just worked it out with bethesda and communicated with ID better but now he's just made himself look like a victim.

I don't think anyone's arguing that he's not an artist, or a perfectionist, or whatever. Sure, him mixing the OST in six months would be reasonable, and Bethesda is retarded for only giving whoever was going to mix it two and a half months.
But Mick signed up for those two and a half months, actually got three and a half, and still couldn't deliver everything.

Doom 4 multiplayer flopped because it had a lot of problems, and id Software looked at what happened and mistakenly thought that people don't want deathmatch anymore because it's not enough like the Doom campaign and it's too hard or something (obviously this is BS), so they came up with BATTLEMODE which is supposed to be an attempt to make Doom's campaign experience translate over to the multiplayer experience, since it's a Slayer vs two demons. Unsurprisingly, BATTLEMODE has flopped and I rarely see any positive talk about it online. Maybe id Software will listen to fans and add deathmatch in a future update, but it's unlikely
