In my opinion, these are the best I have played. FF7 sucks with having random encounters in the wrong places and 8 has a pretty wacky junction system that punishes you for leveling if you don't utilize it right. 3 has the weird Muppet models thing going on like a lot of them do, 13 is 13, and 14 is pricey. 6 is just stupid as fuck with the mechas and being dragged along the opening fights so I dropped it quick. They pretty much had a great formula then went in these weird directions.
FF1 & 2 are the Best
>FF2
It's literally the worst in the series based on its mechanics alone. Boy I sure do love going into a battle and hitting my own party to raise their HP. Fuck off with this terrible bait.
>3 has the weird Muppet models thing going on
Wut
Not even bait, most of the things I said are just facts. I guess I can say that 1 is the very best though.
The 3d one. I just don't like the models.
Oh that. Honestly dude I suggest playing it with a translation patch or something. Game is pretty nice all things considered. Personally I'd say it's one of the better ones, Crystal Tower aside.
I find the chibis cute desu
Don't have to do extreme measures like that in the newer ones.
>I dropped it quick
6 is my favorite. You should try it again before you get spoiled on the story.
>Boy I sure do love going into a battle and hitting my own party to raise their HP.
FF2 is a mediocre game but perpetrating this meme is the sign of being a total brainlet.
>6 is stupid with the mechas
>played FF7 and FF8 instead, which are the most sci-fi ones of the serie
Play Tactics, the most medieval one, like a chad
Don't really care, I just hated the beginning sequences and didn't want to wait for it to get better.
How is it a meme? If you wanted to increase your sword skills, you use swords, want to increase fire magic? use fire. Want to increase your HP? Get hit.
they never played the game, how would they know about evasion
Tactics = 6 >5=7>1=3=10=9=14 & the rest>>>>>
>Guaranteed replies
Orbs > crystals
jesus christ that's embarrassing
play nes ff3, i liked it almost as much as ff1 and 2
Disregarding a game based on its first 10 minutes, I see.
It's not about evasion being OP, it's about knowing the fucking mechanics behind HP growth and understanding that hitting yourself for gains is a fucking meme when undeads exist, even the early game gives you a surefire and safer way to grow HP with Ogre Mages.
It's so fucking ridiculous people STILL pretend hitting your party members in FF2 is in any way functional compared to playing the game as intended, but as you said people don't even know about the "finer" tricks like pumping your evasion with shields.
are you talking about the tutorial magi-tech recon part? Final Fantasy 6 is a traditional RPG except that you follow different groups of characters that meet and separate before all coming together.
Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story are the best Final Fantasy games
and to get evasion?
Get attacked but dodge. It's more reliable to get hit, lost HP, and increase your max HP
>The 3d one. I just don't like the models.
Just play the NES version then (the superior version).
Have you played 4,5,9,10? I'd love to hear your opinions of those games.
>FF7 sucks with having random encounters in the wrong place
Final Fantasy I is basically entirely covered with random encounters if you aren't in a town or flying the airship...
you'll want high evasion, especially for the enemies that do percent damage
>random encounters in the wrong places
what does this even mean?
>Watch multiple people attempt to play FF2.
>They all feel the need to grind themselves up to like at least 1000HP and 5 in every weapon/magic skill
for what purpose
6 is the best in the series. 14 is kino. You genuinely have the worst taste I've ever seen.
wait, there were enemies that do % based damage?
death riders were the most notorious example
maybe that's why I felt like I was getting my ass kicked
>Every stat that isn't Magic is completely worthless, doesn't work properly, or can even be outright detrimental.
How can 6 be the best when mechanically it's a complete dumpster fire?
was meant for
>Tactics
Cringe. It’s the most fedora game ever made.
