Are non-Nintendo handhelds gone for good?
Are non-Nintendo handhelds gone for good?
I doubt it.
Nintendo handhelds are gone for good. The mobile phone is the only handheld platform now.
Handhelds are gone for good. Switch is too big.
Sadly yes
Snoy isn't into smaller stuff now, it's games with $100 million dollar budgets or nothing
game gear
I'm replaying Muramasa Rebirth right now. Is bretty gud.
They're called smart phones, grandpa.
Everyone has them.
Get with the times.
Yeah the switch just took the rest of the market and sony let them, I still think anyone could make a dent in there if they wanted to though. I do not think most Nintendo users are loyal.
sony said theyre done with handhelds. its understandable since they fucked up selling the vita and the niche market that the vita had is now replaced by the switch.
I'd rather lick sean layden's taint than play a game with no tactile controls
you can buy a bluetooth controller.
But I like buttons
Are you the user in the next thread over who wants a Xbox handheld.
Won't happen
No, I am, and I'm also . I don't think it'll happen but it could be cool.
>Nintendo handhelds are gone for good
Switch
That defeats the entire purpose of a handheld device
I want a new Sony handheld.
Can't stand Jewtindo and their overpriced trash
I just bought a psp. Based?
Yes. Phones exist and normal people can go a few hours without bing bing wahoo
you can get a clamp and it would essentially be a handheld device. you'll look like an autist retard but id say its worth.
>instead of a Vita
Basically, you gimped yourself.
>implying the vita wasn't overpriced trash
>psp instead of Vita that can already run all PS1 and PSP games
no, you are dumb
Vita is much better than the switch especially when hacked.
It's just Sony was so stupid they didn't do any marketing for it.
I already have a vita. I just wanted a psp too.
then you are fine.
i have both too
They're gone for good. Sony couldn't make PS2.5 tier games with budgets under a PS3 game work and their only middling success was the Uncharted game which was a launch title. Vita first party games were selling so bad that it's responsible for 3 different first party Sony studios shutting down.
Any new handheld coming in to the market would be coming in midway through the Switch life cycle, have $60 games instead of VIta's $40, have paid online, games would be in the PS3.5 area for budgets and graphics at the time that we're moving on to PS5. There just isn't market enough for 2 handhelds or really any money to be made here for anyone new to step in either.
It wasnt overpriced though. It was actually more expensive to make which is why sony had to jew people with the memory card.
The worst part of vita bombing is no Vita2 that can play PS2 classics.
yes unless you want hipster crowd funded garbage
And it’s was quality hardware. My og oled vita is still perfect.
I hope they make a successor with PS5.
Since PSP happened alongside PS3, and Vita happened alongside PS4.
If the next can run PS2 games, then it's gonna be automatically the best handheld ever
A lot of ps2 games were ported to vita so I guess there's that
Vita literally did not have videogames
>Switch is too big
>Can easily hold the entire console in your hands
>Handheld
>Handhelds are gone for good
wut
nice meme
If you’re a weeb, the vita’s library is easily better than the PS4’s
Gacha games are the new handheld future
Handhelds need to fit in a pocket though
Yes. People forget but the Vita was a huge bomb compared to the PSP. An unconfirmed 12 million units sold (sony never bothered to give actual numbers) and no game other than Minecraft sold more than a million copies. Most of its exclusives were ported, and whatever support it still gets are ports of PC visual novels with their sex scenes cut out.
Doesn't fit in the pocket so it's lost a lot of portability compared to the Gameboy, DS or PSP.
All shovelware and jap only
No they don't.
Handheld doesn't mean fit in pocket.
theres no such thing as a perfect hardware. sony got too ambitious and added all these useless shit like two cameras, back touch, and even oled which drove up the manufacturing cost.
sony made the psp as a premium handheld to avoid direct competition against nintendo's cheaper handhelds. they took that idea too far with the vita, making it too expensive.
look, we do this in every vita thread.
you are an oxygen waster and no matter how many times I list tons of good games on vita you are gonna parrot the same shit over and over because your brain is salved to Nintendo and you think it's your personal duty to shill your brand cock
>needs to defend her corporate masters' products every time they're criticized
Do vitards really?
Fuck off weeb
A phone is an infinite handheld
Fuck off incel
defend what? Vita is dead and Sony ignored it.
we are giving you actual and valid arguments and you do nothing but throw out memes for le funny Zig Forums memes XD
Go take a bath at least, nindie
Vita can't do composite output.
