Honestly even with OP weapons Otakemaru 2.0 can still survive quite a beating, it's nice to fight something without having to choose between gimping myself or killing it in under 30 seconds.
The boss rushes are also pretty fun, although very weak.

No because I can never get a good picture. The shortcuts are kinda awkward to use for me and I always get something too late, and can apparently only frame forward instead of back.
Also nice because I assume it lets you grind the masters for gear more easily as you are no longer gimped and can just let yourself die to restart. Can grind Snek/DISGRACE cores that way too.

Yeah, dojo stuff is much easier with normal weapons and it's an easy coop-able mission to fight Yatsu, Shuten and Otake. They all seem to have the same drops as normal too.
Snek is the weirdest possible boss to add before Shuten and Otakemaru though, why not Kashin Koji or wait until later for a Nine Tailed boss + big 3 fight?

I bought this game day 1 but i'm kind of glad i've waited to finish it, I was craving a photo mode, it's one of my favorite features of this generation, so i'm glad I get to mess around with it.
Seems like the hype has died down now and I mostly missed out on the nioh general on /vg/ :(

Me too, user. I'm really glad that every new game and their mother seems to have a Photo Mode nowadays, I just love spending hours doing stupid stuff with it. I hope the devs update the Photo Mode more in future patches.

Yeah I was a bit worried pre-launch since no one talked about and there was no news and again no one seemed to care but those gods added it in anyways. I mean it makes a lot of sense for this game, especially with custom characters.
