Still buying?

Game director Nate Fox said: "This is a game that is entirely grounded in reality." "We're trying hard to transport people to 1274 Japan. We're inspired by history, but we're not building it back stone by stone. We're not trying to rebuild Tsushima island. Our protagonist is a work of fiction. We actually thought about using some historical figures, and we asked some people who are more culturally aware than us and they said that it would be insensitive, so we didn’t do it."

Looks like shit. I've already played this game a dozen times without the Japanese skin.

So here's this giant enemy crab

>>it would be insensitive
>Meanwhile Nioh just transplants whatever real people they feel like into the games.

Japs aren't pussies like white people.

>1274 Japan
But that's boring. Either Sengoku era for full on warring clans or Edo period setting for more samurai espionage would've been better.

Who are these people that are more culturally aware? This is literally "it's cool, I'm not racist, I have Japanese friends" tier bullshit. Are they even Japanese or Americans of Japanese descent? Or god forbid, a straight white male that used to live in Japan when his dad was in the air force? Pussy faggots too fucking scared to make their own game, offloading responsibility onto a mysterious third party. There is so much wrong here.

No niggers in it so it’s a buy for me senpai

>Mongol invasions
>boring
Don't fucking pretend the Mongols just vanished in a storm at sea and Japan never noticed the difference. That shit stressed their society.

Maybe but I just wish it wasn't an AssCreeds clone, which was definitely a reason for the specific time period they chose.

>1274 Japan. We're inspired by history
>Mongols
>In Japan

The whole story has to be some dream because Kamikase made Mongols go RIP.

>more culturally aware than us
what, the pink-haired lass working in HR

Then don't go stealth and fight like a samurai, wimp

Niah is made by Japanese. Tsushima is made by a western studio. The fucked up rule is "non white people can do whatever they want and anything white people do is insensitive."

Yes, I am. Get fucked sourgrape.

What about it? Mongolians are dumber than animals

what does that make you then

I woulda been your daddy but the dog beat me over the fence

When we make our viruses, they don't get out accidentally.

>sly fun and orignal
>infamous fun and original
>GoT: Same game we've played fifty times, doesn't look fun.
great. Another one bites the dust.

Is the user who recc'd me The Last Samurai and a couple other samurai kinos still here?
Just watched it and it was great, I never thought I would enjoy a Tom Cruise movie as much as I did this one. Thanks, gonna watch some Kurosawa and the others these days.

He was just inspecting the ladder for workplace health and safety.

keke get fucked

Yes I will.
The gimmick with the wind, the amount of foliage and the usage of color gives a pretty unique vibe to it. Exploration will be great combined with the amazing music looks to be pretty comfy.
Yes the samurai combat looks janky but that last 15 seconds of the mc fighting when they were showing the black/white mode gave me some hope, for some reason didnt as much janky, the ghost style feels like your AC/nuLara and thats fine to me.

Hey frogposter, you add absolutely nothing to this board or website in any way or form. Please jump off your nearest cliff and disappear.

as long as you go in expecting the gameplay loop to be

[x] clear bandit camp
[x[ clear bandit camp
[x[ steal 3 urns

with (HOPEFULLY) some hunting/fishing/crating to distract you from the tedium of a truncated upgrade/ability system

it'll be fun to explore the world they've made if the music is good. probably not worth full price desu

Most Likely High-Ranking Sony Officials From Japan.

Yes, I have it pre-ordered.

Imagine being this outraged over a fucking western dev consulting actual japanese historians to make a game set in japan as accurate as possible
Just imagine being this pitiful.
These threads have been a joy to watch, this game has been attracting the oddest bunch of people out of their basement.

Yes. I've wanted this type of game for years now. Seethe and cope if you don't like it.

I'll get it when it's like 20 bucks with all the DLC bundled into it. I mean, it's just not a title I'm going to blow 60 bucks on. It looks like every other open world game this gen without anything to differentiate it outside the Japanese aesthetic. Hell, Horizon was generic as fuck but it at least had those neat robot dinosaurs and animals going for it. If I had walked in on the presentation of this I would have fully expected the title to say Assassin's Creed: Warlords or something at the end of it. So generic.

>ANOTHER nintoddIer thread
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwnnn

Happens every year when Sony shows something. The people that unironically scream snoy in every thread have a meltdown and complain for months and then vanish again.

It looks like a lame Assassins Creed clone.
>Pee Ass Five
Lol

>and we asked some people who are more culturally aware than us and they said that it would be insensitive,
Meanwhile, Japan pisses all over every historical figure, real and fake, with the garbage for retards known as Fate, and every fucking Nobunaga series ever.

The difference being, fate never amounted to be anything than fap fuel for coomers, this game is supposedly aiming for realism. Its all in the context user.

go back to making sure people use the right pronouns in the office

Yeah I will, but you go back to where you belong first.

Meh, watching the samurai gameplay turned me off completely. Why can't these game devs go larp and hit each other for a bit instead of putting retarded looking attack animations.

I mean, even ignoring fate, you could just broad strokes people's motivation and characters. As long as the overall events happen as in history, or close enough to it, whose to say that you are entirely wrong.
