Kiwami is good, though. It just has crappy bosses.

The bosses were the WORST part about kiwami

It was "play rush or have ZERO fun", and the only good boss fight was the final one against spoiler.

Shit leveling system
Shit "mooks goddamn everywhere you can't avoid by using a vending machine like the other games"
Slightly more interesting plot than kiwami 2 at least

DR2: OTR mech fight at the end of 72 hour mode. I love the game but making it based around the series’s clunky platforming killed me a little on the inside.

Honestly, Kiwami should have just retconned the finale and made a better one. Literally no one likes Jingu.

Final boss in Yakuza 4

Bad, but nowhere near as cancerous as Jingu. It felt impossible to beat him on Hard without Tiger Drop.

I disagree. They just lasted longer because of the goddamn health regen.

I can't, in my history of playing video games I've never been as frustrated with a boss as much as this one.

What makes it worse is that every time you lose the fight you have to do the fucking rooftop sequence again.

I'm convinced the devs didn't playtest this fucking boss, and I'm sure they knew how bullshit it was, because Jingu is not in ANY of the climax battles.

Kiwami's still good, it's just not as strong as 0. K2's cool, but different since it's a Dragon Engine game.

What were they thinking? The gameplay was perfect in 0. But in K1:

>every boss has perfect evasion
>every boss breaks out of grabs immediately
>bosses rarely ever fall down anymore
You can rarely do a full combo against them and have to abuse heat mechanics.

Just started K2 and it's a lot better but why are the window for heat actions so fucking short? It's ridiculous.

Kiwami 2 is nothing like either K1 or 0 though. It's basically a sequel to 6 in everything except for the story.

Yep, same thing in 6. Not sure if that's a good or a bad feature since just granting you a super attack with no skill required to activate it is also pretty lame if you think about it

Glad to know Kiwami didn't fix one of the absolute worst bosses from the first game. This bootleg Dante motherfucker pissed me off more when I played the original though.

Rush style Kiryu vs this guy in Kiwami is fun though
