They're not though? The combat is braindead in that mode: hold attack so you launch them in the air. Do aerial combo. Switch to other character to maintain aerial combo.
Oh no, enemy does . Here's a solid two seconds for you to press the GLOWING CONTEXT KEY to break his guard. Repeat.
It's a shit gamemode and you should be ashamed for liking it.

Most of it is 1-2 minute stages of beat-em-up, but there's several other game modes throughout.
