How does Zig Forums feel about FFXIV Shadowbringers doing so well that it replaced SE's expected earnings for FF7R?

It's sad because it doesn't change the fact that Square won't put the money back into FFXIV. It could do with a major overhaul imo. Personally I'm just waiting on the next expansion for the story to continue since I'm burnt out on trying to play with autists for Savage, and also waiting on yoshi-p's FFXVI
Don't care, because none of the money is put back in the game, and we just get the same thing over again and again.
Hell, we even got less this time around.
>3 months without any fucking content
You could also say the game is dying.
shitty theme park mmo with a bad combat system
Imagine being such a retard to give a shit about some company's revenue. Does that make your game and gaming experience better?
Sad because Mmoshit is not Final Fantasy
Reminder FFXIV was saved and is worked on by most of the devs that worked on FFXII. When Nomura and Kitase constantly embezzled money through FFXIII and Versus XIII, they went on and carried the franchise on their backs for the second time in a row.

Almost as if there's a pandemic going on at the moment.
I never do savage, I just clear the story content every year or so, I got the fishing mount in the 8 day free login period too so I'm pretty happy
whats dragon quest walk?
Kill yourself XII-kun
I tried to get into FFXIV but I got filtered by the Realm Reborn content. Is it really worth it to suffer through that to get to the good parts?
Yes. Heavensward is one of the better FF storyline in years.
There are no good parts.
Was there a pandemic a year ago that prevented them from designing something that lasts and put it in the game? At the start of the expansion, not a year+after its release.
I wish 14 never recovered so Square would've finally died.
Why?
No. It's a long slog and 90% of the story is boring as fuck. I fell for the meme and never skipped a cutscene from ARR till the end of Shadowbringers (before patches) and can honestly say, I've never felt like I wasted more of my time in anything I've ever played. The endgame is shit too, new raid tiers every 6 months and just crumbs of content in between. You did yourself a favor, trust me. Don't fall for the shills in these threads.
Because they've made nothing but shit for well over 10 years now.
You're gonna be doing the same thing you are doing right now up to 80 so unless you find the story or gameplay enticing don't bother. Doing the whole msq at once is going to be mind numbing. That's not even considering all the side content you'll have to do to unlock all the raids and trials inbetween 50-80
user do you suffer from depression
This to be honest. the good writers would stay afloat. trash like nomura would be in debt to host clubs.
The game is fun, so it deserves to do well. I just have an issue with some of the decisions they put into the game. For example, there is massive item bloat, and you can end up with two of almost every item in your inventory, a regular version and an HQ version. You only get a set amount of inventory space, and if you want more it costs $2/month per additional storage space. Unlike some other MMOs it's pretty difficult to transfer items to alt characters, so you can't really count on using them as mules. To do so you'd need to find two other people to help you create a sort of guild, then kick the two other founding members, add your alt characters, and use the pretty limited storage you get in a beginner guild vault as an intermediary to move items (log into one character, put items in vault, log out, log into other character possibly waiting in server queue to get back in, move items out of vault into inventory, log out, log back into original character possibly waiting in server queue to get back in). There's also not really any item sorting in inventories unless you do it manually so everything is just a clusterfuck when you get to high levels of crafting. If the game has one major glaring issue for me it's the inventory system.
Can someone explain me why the DQ franchise is so well planned and taken care of while FF is burning in flames with all the fiasco that FFXV was and how bad the old ports are?
Same guy has been in charge of it since the first game. He didn't go off to try and turn it into a hollywood movie so he could bang some white, american bitches.
Squaresoft (Final Fantasy) died when it merged with Enix (Dragon Quest), all of its IPs were whored out for cash grabs.
Wait until 5.3
Dragon quest is stupid big in the east and something that’s been the same most of the time, so you can’t fuck it up too badly. Final fantasy on the other hand tires so many different things and almost killed the company.
>he believes the chinese virus is real
Shouldn't have nerfed Tifa and pandered to the wrong crowd in addition to making a sequel. They could have given us a really sexy Tifa and showed that they gave a shit. Sales would have improved. Instead of buying Animal Crossing and Trials of Mana I would have bought FF7R.
they almost did it again with cyber connect right? so much wasted time. who managing this shit? are they embezzling money for the yakuza or something? their previous games 13 and xv had fucking all kinds of weird sponsors from luxury items to cheap shit. ff7r got butterfingers. what gives?
tell me your opinion on the voice acting in trials. i felt they really cheaped out.
The voice acting isn't even the worst part. It's not terrible, it's serviceable and what you'd expect from a B-JRPG. The worst part is the combat. It's a fun little game though and very reminiscent of better days when games were made by people who loved making and playing games.
