Fire is a predominantly special attacking type. Most physical fire moves are either weak (Flame Wheel, Flame Charge) signature moves (Sacred Fire, V-Create) or only usable by humanoid Pokemon (Fire Punch, Blaze Kick). The one exception is Flare Blitz, which Flareon is able to learn. However since it has a very low base HP stat, it will die in two hits.
