You literally have been filtered if you've given up on a game before you completed it. The only difference is whether you think the filtration was justifiable or not. You can always give yourself an excuse if you're looking for one. If you're unable to beat a boss after trying 50 times and then quit you will just say that the game is boring because you've had to repeat the same section 50 times. "I quit because it was boring" conveniently leaves out that it was only boring because you were trash at the video game.
