Imagine how much a PC equivalent would cost, considering how laptops generally cost over double the PC's named counterparts and PC parts working about 1.5-2x faster with the same title.
I play games all the time on my PC that have controller button prompts because I have a controller plugged in, generally game engines pick up on that and contextually apply things like that
Or maybe it's a tech demo and they didn't bother to program in keyboard prompts.
There are many options and the only way we will KNOW is if everyone gets access to it or it is all marketing and should be treated as such (bullshit on Epic's end either way). It's not like the demo wasn't made on PC, it's not like the engine cant run on a x86/64 procesor with an RTX GPU and DDR4 ram with an NVME.

SSD is garbage and it's obvious you don't know anything about PCs. The performance gap between a hard disk and SSD is enormous. But between SSDs, it's negligible. You wouldn't even notice it without benchmarking software.

SSDs are a big deal to consoles because it's long overdue. the TYPE of SSD doesn't matter at all unless you're completely autistic.

The difference between SATA and NVME SSDs is pretty significant when it comes to certain tasks like transferring thousands of disparate files, but straight up sequential transfer speeds the difference is not very noticeable. Loading screens for video games can actually see a difference if you're using a fast NVME drive over a standard SATA drive as long as the games are designed to take advantage of this. Considering this is a standard for the console games are going to try and utilize this so it's not a stretch to say that loading times will be remarkably improved. But the difference between SATA and NVME in this context would only be a second or two all other things being equal.

Not at all really, it's just like owning a console, you just get the game you want without bothering to look for specifications and enjoy it.
And then when your system starts to get a bit long in the tooth you upgrade a part or two and keep it going til you get the next PC.
Exactly the same as a console with the mid-gen refresh cycle.
Sure PC costs more but it has versatility and an unbeatable catalog and a well timed and built machine can usually outlive an entire console generation wtihout needing an upgrade. It's just that we *can* upgrade if we want, and we can choose waht to spend instead of needing to bin an entire working system to get a slight performance increase.

Ok, it seems that this has to be explained in simple terms to you fucking toddler.
Graphics cards don't actually make graphics (the graphics are already made in the game's code) they merely pump it through the harddrive. The problem with hard drives is that they can hold the data and the graphics but they can't actually transfer it through the ram fast enough, so the graphics card pumps the graphics between the two the same way the cpu pumps the physics and calculations. With an SSD, the hard drive itself can help pump things faster.

Now with PS5's custom SSD, everything gets pumped extremely fast, considering the work of the hard drive alone. Coupled with the PS5's graphics card, it actually regulates graphics much faster than a PC that has an RTX 2080 and a regular SSD. Maybe PC's could compete if they had PS5's specially crafted SSD architecture, but sadly for you guys this is not the case. Sorry.

I don't see the point in owning any console, especially next gen, but if I was to buy one it would 100% be a nintendo switch since that actually has proper exclusives, an entire library of them instead of 1-2 a year that arent really exclusive since they are on PC or going to be on PC anyway.
Plus I *hate* the idea of recurring fees and subscription based services so paying a monthly fee to play things I paid for online just makes zero sense to me.
