It didn't flop tho, say anything about the actual quality of the game but it still sold pretty darn well.

its just a boxstandard bomberman with ugly visuals and bad bosses. still pretty fun though, but the reason the reviews are so bad was because the asking price was more than the content was worth at launch

$60

Wat? It didn't, it became the best selling Bomberman ever.

Even with all the free DLC this game isn't worth more than $30. It's a basic as hell Bomberman game. Now if it had some crazy cool adventure mode like the GBA or N64 Bomberman games did it'd be way cooler.

Also the voice acting is really annoying.

wayyyyyyyy too expensive easily
good game tho

Its $40 on eshop

It's "bog-standard", not "boxstandard".

Powerups were kinda basic. The stage variety was nice. I got it late so I never bothered with the online plus I have Power Bomberman for that anyways. I'd rather just replay the Super Bomberman games on the SNES.

thanks, goon

>Also the voice acting is really annoying.
This.
Whomever chose to give those assholes their own personalities should be shot

It would be perfect, if online didn't die so hard. I actually had to join a Discord to find matches at all, which I can hardly believe or a system's token Bomberman game.

>But I'm too perfect to not have a perfect personality
>Whoever made this post needs a mighty beatdown, lemme at 'em
>Yuuuuuuck, this post is soooooooo not my style at all
>user, I don't think funposting is a very peaceful way to express your dissatisfaction
>user, I'm hungry. Can I have a (You), pretty pls? I promise I'll have better voice acting next time
>zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
>WHY ARE YOU ALL LIKE THIS?!!! WHY?

I would love this game a lot more if the online wasn't dead on arrival. It's a really good Bomberman game, and the free updates were fantastic. Really enjoyed it.

I didnt want to buy it cause it didn't look like it was worth full price

White was ok (in JP), but nearly everyone else is just grating.

it launched in a pitiful state and only got enough content to justify the price too late for anyone to care

Probably because it mught be considered too simple or antiquated compared to games of today's visual standards. I liked it, but many people keep saying it was boring or 1 note. They might just not like Bomberman.

very low budget bomberman
also:
-switch version runs like shit
-ps4 version doesn't support 8 players (or 7 bots)
-xbone is best version, but every version has exclusive characters

No, now suck my Dickie bird

Wait, huh? I have Switch, and I don't notice any problems. How could a Bomberman game NOT run perfect on any system? Could they truly mess that up?

It sold over 1 million copies on Switch which is more than any Bomberman game since the PS1 era.

there was an update later that lowers the switch resolution to try to fix the fps
it actually launched at 1080p but its gone bow

Why doesn't it have a cool adventure mode like the old games?

Huh, that's pretty interesting. I'd have liked to have seen that. But honestly, I don't think anyone's playing Bomberman for cutting edge realistic graphics, so I don't mind that.

Didn't it sell pretty well for a blatantly low budget Bomberman that runs like shit and lacks content?

>every version has exclusive characters
wut

It didn't

It literally does though, it's basically World's adventure mode. Has co-op too.

>runs like shit and lacks content
Neither are true, it's just hard to find players online on PC because no one plays it on PC besides Brazilians.

Too expensive.
Kind of ugly.
Stupid story.
Bad coop.
I'll buy a fucking remake of the Snes games. And Bomberman Tournament

The only retarded thing about this game is the balance of coins you get by playing versus how much it costs to buy unlockables. You can tell they planned to let you buy them via microtransaction and removed the option at the last second without rebalancing the payouts to be less insanely grindy.

Lack of content to justify the price on release
In-game art looked drastically worse than the artstyle of the box, title screen, cutscenes etc
Poor framerate for the low-quality in-game graphics

I think they just wanted the online multiplayer to live longer

Yes, best selling Bomberman game in a while iirc.
