But they are said to respawn every time you kill them, hence you need the libras to actually seal them in books. You can also sell those books, so maybe people use them as sex slaves or something and can summon them at will from those books.

My once-every-three-years itch to play a dungeon crawlers is starting to creep back again, and I've never played a nip dungeon crawler. Is Dungeon Travelers a good place to start with them, or is it just a medicore series propped up by excessive fanservice? If not DT, what nip dungeon crawlers are good?

DT is amazing.
Mary Skelter is great, but has average combat.
Demon Gaze 1 and 2 are my personal favourite Dungeon Crawlers.
Persona Q1 and Q2 are both very good, but a little on the easier side.
Strange Journey is amazing.

You shouldn't play more than one dungeon crawler at a time, user. That's a recipe for disaster.

I can't believe the other user mentioned Persona Q but didn't mention Etrian Odyssey. Persona Q/Q2 are crossover titles with Persona from EO, which is a much better crawler series.
