I love modding, and I'm always excited to play a game that has a lot of mods. Most of my favorite games are moddable, and the mods are one of the biggest reasons why they're my favorites.

I like both. On my first playthrough of a game, I'll generally only use cosmetic mods, then I'll try gameplay mods for later playthroughs. I do like playing dress-up in RPGs, and will almost always choose aesthetics over stats.

graphical mods are always positive if they don't cause any glitches/crashes
character models and clothing can be cool
and some games can become A LOT better with mods that change the gameplay and game systems like skyrim, fallout, minecraft
