Honestly, I think it would be good If Sega stayed away from a remake. There are way to many things that they could fuck up instead of improving like making Sonic the main focus(No other characters at all, not even Gamma who was the best part), more boost-to-win shit instead of adventure formula, no chao garden, no hub, certain levels cuts out, no Super Sonic, etc. Just to many things that could go wrong. Forces was proof enough that Sega isn't ready for a adventure remake.

No I don't think so, however there is currently a ROM (.xci or .nsp) of SM64 online now.
It means that you can play SM64 on a hacked Switch.
Is it because of the SM64 PC version? There might be a way to do the same and export more old games from Gamecube, Genesis and old generations.
