i miss this lil nigga like you wouldn't believe
A
it still exists go just fuckin emulate it or something
why do most Nintendo games peak at the sequel and turn to absolute babied down shit after
Paper Mario will never be what it was before. Let it go already. Didn't you learn your lesson with Color Splash?
seriously bros why they keep doing this to this specific franchise?
leave it alone already, just make another "rpg" and out that generic shit there
won't happen until miyamoto croaks
the gameplay style can't stand on its own so it needs a fat MARIO logo on it
nobody would tolerate stickerstar onwards at all if it wasn't for the nintendo defense force
I want to replay it so bad, but my computer won't be able to emulate gamecube games, my gamecube is somewhere deep in my closet, and my cousin has my memory cards but I don't want to risk giving him the china virus because he has asthma
There are easy solutions to every problem you just mentioned. How fucking lazy are you?
have you notices that sony shit posters leave paper mario alone? It's like its so bad that its too sad to make fun of
i started playing TTYD for the first time, since PM stuff had been getting posted a lot lately.
it's really good so far (chapter 3). i like the partners so far, the story is whatever, and the dialogue is funny. and i really like how they expanded on the combat system from the n64 game. why on earth did they move away from this style?
Same goes for the gameplay style before
and before it also had world design, story structure, and interesting characters both personality and design wise to back up the gameplay
this has nothing
Is Paper Mario the Weezer of video games?
fuck soul
This is just my guess but I'm sure at some point Nintendo decided that they didn't need two Mario RPGs, took a look at the sales of Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario and decided that Paper Mario needed to do something else. Sticker Star started as an RPG if you see the original trailers, but I guess Alpha Dream also started planning a new Mario and Luigi which probably forced them to do something else so that the two games weren't "competing" with each other. After that they were probably forced to keep doing non-RPG stuff since Mario and Luigi was still going on. Since this game probably started development a while ago I'm sure they still didn't commit to an RPG since Alphadream was still around and probably had a Mario and Luigi for switch planned when they started development.
The game will still exist, nothing is stopping it from existing.
Fuck off
easy but nothing to allow me to play it NOW
Honestly rather than a Paper Mario game I'd rather have a Paper Luigi game based off his story in TTYD. Needless to say it would use the same gameplay as TTYD.
You already got a perfect sequel with TTYD for a perfect game that was 64
Just play a real RPG instead Jesus, Paper Mario was always shit since, even the first one.
>Same gameplay as TTYD
TTYD's gameplay is outdated as fuck and you people need to accept this
zoom zoom
you wanna maybe explain that inane viewpoint at all or should we just skip to calling you buzzwords and racialslurs you zoomernigger
>The gameplay can't stand on its own and if it didn't have it no one would want them to go back to it
Imagine having such shit taste, retard.
It's more like a dungeon synth album but with more instruments and corny lyrics if there are any
>yfw next level games is on charge
>Gotten so lazy that they just keep repeating "It was shit and was always shit."
The absolute state of retarded shitposters.
Because ever since they adopted the mindset of making games more accessible (Wii era/mobile game domination most likely) they just assume that making the games for literally everyone is better
>Same goes for the gameplay style before
Except a non-Mario gameplay clone for the RPG titles came out, and was successful
not him but having just played it the backtracking is tedious as fuck, the combat has 0 depth and 90% of the enemies are reskins. The story is fun but the gameplay isn't.
THE GREAT DEBATE
the backtracking is kind of grating but i think the base enemy designs and their variants were alright, and the combat is definitely not 0 depth. not the greatest RPG ever, mind you, but the timed hits, audience hype mechanics and badge system are all fun mechanics that let you pretty much rock everything as long as you have a rhythm down and know how to use the badge bonuses
I love how the censorship didn't really make them any less appealing.
what's the rundown on why the new game is gonna be shit? i was hoping on getting it. i really like turn based rpgs but don't know many good ones
Even nintendo shills dont defend this shit. I think this may be the worst case of a company being completely fucking ignorant of what their fanbase wants. Which is so surprising since theyve done it once before and theres literally nothing stopping them from just copying what was right.
yeah you're a fucking retard
Because that wasn't the objective of that censorship
There's so much fucking backtracking and padding though. Gets pretty tiresome.
