What are they Zig Forums?
Awful games with good stories
dark souls
there was an old ass platformer for pc, titled, nothing.
I still have fond memories of its story.
A-user...
The Elder Scrolls are probably lumped together, otherwise they'd be half the list by themselves.
New Vegas
Deus Ex has aged like milk but the story and characters are pretty good
i liked brutal legend gameplay des
Why was this awful?
Rule of Rose unironically.
Sony games
Cyberpunk 2077
Planescape
Deus Ex
Witcher 3
Red Dead Redemption
Star Wars KOTOR
Bioshock
Metal Gear Solid
Mass Effect
NieR Gestalt
Majora’s Mask
>Brutal Legend
>awful
Brutal Legend is pure fun.
Resident Evil 7.
The story is not bad, awfully cliche, but I liked the whole family thing, the paranormal little girl, secret agent wife.
It's an awful game and an awful resident evil game though, unlikable protagonist, 0 connection to the actual resident evil plot, etc.
The story was fine and should have been used for a game named The Family or something, not for a numbered entry of Resident Evil.
>good story
>oblivion
>skyrim
Grim Fandango
Silent Hill 1-2
Idk, the story is usually get the thing to stop the thing because you were chosen to do so, or not. The implications of getting the thing to stop the thing are usually found in two lines of an in-game book. Intriguing for lorehunters, but not exactly great storytelling.
Zoe should have been the protagonist, the story should have been about the Baker family gradually going insane in a realistic way & you trying to escape. Would have been far more compelling.
Xenogears
>Elder Scrolls
>good story
LMAO, as a fucking ESfag, fuck no. I like them, but they aren't spectacularly written or some shit.
You play ES to explore the world and atmosphere, maybe roleplay and enjoy the mechanics of the game, but the story isn't something incredible.
Morrowind is above others, but it still isn't anything particularly noteworthy. "we think you're the ancient hero so go tell morrowind you're the ancient hero and stop the bad guy"
This. Also FFX
How Planescape Torment wasn't the first reply, I can't fathom.
Alpha protocol
my god that gameplay is shit pure shit but the writing is gold .
I couldn't make it past the first few levels. The gameplay was absolutely atrocious. It makes Liberty Island from dude sex look piss easy.
It's vice versa, dark souls doesn't have any story, people play it for challenge
Pillars of Eternity
Morrowind has great story, oblivion and skyrim only have some good sidequests, guild storylines etc. Skyrim has very shitty guild quests in my opinion, except for like thieves guild.
>Brutal Legend
>terrible
Fucking normies got filtered by the RTS elements.
fuck off retard heres your (You)
persona 5
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
RE7 with PSVR is a god tier game though. It's legit build to be played in VR and loses alot in 2D, goes from 10/10 to maybe a 6/10.
A shame that they made it a numbered entry though because after the stellar RE2 1st person is not the right path. Unless they are willing to go balls deep and make a VR trilogy.
Is this cuberpunk 77
dark souls 2
uncharted 4
gta IV
wolfenstein 2 the new colossus
mass effect 2
spec ops the line
fallout new Vegas
Fuck you, Brütal Legend was great
well unironically YES
This whole franchise.
Deus Ex Human Revolution. At the end of the day, a stealth run boils down to
>turn invisible while you run between cover
>crawl through vent
>hack computer to open door/vent
>make people go sleepy whule their friends are ten meters away
It just didn't have the depth of gameplay of the old games. It thrived on having a competently told story though, and made you feel like you were such an integral part of it.
