It aches to be born.
It aches to grow.
It aches to choose.
There is no ache in death.
Shall I Pathologic thread?
It aches to be born
That's not a verb!
>there's a "Yes" option
I appreciate IPL's commitment to roleplaying, even though I have no idea why someone would want to abuse their steppe-children.
Bros, I think I'm too small-brained to understand this game...
It was cool to finally play a game based somewhat around my culture. At first, I didn't know anything about it and it was pretty much a blind purchase. Then I looked through the menu and saw the names of the potions and I was like "Huh, that's kinda dope". It finally hit me when someone said Bayarlaa.
LIVE
Perhaps they think being stern with the child will teach better behavior. I still chose "No, kiddo" though despite getting infected
How far did you get?
Ive always wanted to play pathologic. Finally got 2, made it past the tutorial and instantly when the clock started ticking i closed out. I already know this games gonna stress me out i have to prepare myself
Regale us with tales from the real-world steppe.
I guess it's not really "my" culture, but more like my great-great-grandparent's culture. And even then they weren't shamanistic but rather Buddhists.
Frankly, I'm just surprised byarlaa is a real word. I was under the impression the steppe language was fictional.
t. American
Yeah, it's based on Buryat, which is very closely related to Khalkha Mongol (which I speak). Like for example when it comes to the potion/tincture names, zürkh means heart, yas bones, medrel nerves etc. Even the names are based on actual words with Oyun being mind. And erdem is knowledge.
How many shabnaks have you met.
The language for anyone interested
docs.google.com
More than 0 and less than 1. But I have heard stories from people talking about "guidel" which are roaming ghosts.
I can translate some of the unknown phrases at the bottom. The rest seem to be more or less okay, but still a bit awkward or old-fashioned, I guess.
Tsoi Shee(You?) daa(G) = Go away (probably цaaшaa дaa)
Mes zaslysh emch? (?) = A surgeon?
Uherney ereed (ereed(B) firmly, exactly) bayna gyy - Is the cow/bull coming?
>despite getting infected
just let one of those molotov guys strike the ground next to you and walk into the fire until the infection is gone
Scratch that, most of the translations are pretty fucked. I'd love to suggest a few (more than a few tho) corrections but fuck Discord.
How much health do you lose from doing that?
Huh, that's kind of a shame
>how far
I'm only about 5 hours in. A friend of mine told me it was this experimental art game and that is was "sooo good", but I'm not an art guy so yeah...I'm also a brainlet, if that helps.
not too much if you're quick about it. Even if you end up near-death remember that it's better than using the panacea or shmowders on yourself. Just be sure to have some bandages on you when you do it
>I’m a moron
>don’t like art
>bought art game
Yeah the premise checks out
Really rando question but its been bugging me out since i don't remember but do you guys happen to know when this track plays?
youtube.com
I don't think i can recall if it even plays in any of the 3 campaigns. Really forlorn tune
Don't bully that retard. It's not his fault he's an idiot, and besides, at least he was willing to try something new.
Fascinating
Be me
>I can't run pathologic 2 without my pc bursting into flames
I really wanted to play this game
Sounds more like something from The Void desu, although it might be from the Steppe? Been a while since I've played.
This game is incredibly oppressive but that in a way makes the moments it's not really good.
>mfw got emotional during the hobo economy tutorial
Bachelor mode never ever
Yea it uses the steppe theme but i don't know which day or context it plays since i don't remember hearing it in game.
Is there a moment when this world and the people in it should start making sense to me, or is everything just supposed to be a bit uncanny valley forever?
I think around day 4 or 5 I started to get the meat and potatoes of the setting yeah
I wasn't lost anymore after like day 3. At some point things should click in place for you. It's very intelligently written.
