Why are MMO's so obsessed with end game and raiding
They are literal cancer

I understand why, but GOD is it boring to do the same shit over and over. No amount of friends to play with is worth that tedium.
so they can keep people playing, as they'll have something to strive towards. If you just focus on early game, what will players who are past that have to aim towards? nothing at all.
Because literally everything else they can offer is offered elsewhere. PVP? Session games like ASSFAGGOTS. Dressup? Even single player games have dressup now. Social communication? You have Discord, Facebook, every SNS under the world, it's no longer impressive to be connected online. But very few games do cooperative PVE on large scale.
So... what do you want to happen when you hit max level? RP? PVP? Crafting? Quitting?
Hmm what if loots were less luck dependent
why raiding?
High-End PVE Content?
Because they all have awful baby mode combat which only gets fun when it's made as difficult as possible.
I liked raiding when I played MMOs but apparently most of the people I was playing with were retarded and couldn't do mechanics so it became too frustrating and I had to switch to singleplayer games.
The point of raids were that it took a lot of coordination to successfully complete 20-40 man raids and consequentially only the more committed players would end up raiding.
WoW started to die when LFR was introduced
the end game for any major PvE game should be some form of PvP I remember Overlord had its in universe MMO's lategame being setting up massive guilds that other players could raid for loot and so everyone goes full autist on traps/monsters/bosses
Because they all have the same retarded leveling system and therefore they have to have something to get you playing for longer than a couple of weeks
actually it started to die when they added more and more raids because guilds broke down because it juts wasn't fun.
I see the kike captcha is back on
you now remember having fun playing ragnarok online
How about making both the journey and the end enjoyable?
To keep their real audience satisfied.
The real breaking point of WoW was that long content drought in Cata with the revamped troll dungeons, then LFR dropping with the dragon soul raid
that is an issue with MMOs. Usually the beginning is constant, annoying grinding. The end is just 'lol fight this strong guy." idk how to make both enjoyable
FFXIV does this
Maybe make it so social events give players something to work towards? Like say:
•A tragedy has occurred in Bluetown and it’s up to everyone to help rebuild it! All professions and classes needed!
Name one MMO without an endgame that's actually good.
Because no one likes "questing and leveling" because that's also boring.
But raiding is also considered "boring" too, but no one else has an answer to endgame so everyone just deals with it. PvP doesn't appeal to people in a game where PvE is the focus, hence why no one gives a shit.
Maybe if MMOs weren't so cookie-cutter in terms of gameplay, questing, and progression people would be so bored of the entire genre.
Oh wait, innovation costs money. And no one wants to take risk in this genre, hence why there's only like 4 successful MMOs and a million WoW clones.
because the post-wow mmo audience is allergic to pvp and anything that would actually make use of the genre.
>but no one else has an answer to endgame
I’m trying my hardest with
>Game is about mega space capitalism
>Ban the guy playing by the rules of mega space capitalism
Hmm
It's deeply troubling to know that our kind exist at even the highest levels of government
he got unbanned
My point is, Eves Sov system, while not perfect can evolve over time.
strategies change and space geography and politics changes, everything is in a state of flux.
literally all of EVE is PVP.
if you dont play the game like its real life, someone will fucking find a way to trample all over you one way or another. either inside or outside the games rules.
ESO is pretty good about this i'd say..... The Raids are pretty meh but the leveling is amazing.
MONEY
uninstall epic launcher
I cant say the same for others but IMO I like getting to end game and just focusing on new gear/sets from raids or dungeons. Itemization and trying out different builds with gear is the fun part, not leveling up in barren wastelands with the same copy and paste fetch quests with only 3 usable skills while I autoattack waiting for 20 levels to get my next useable skill. But to each their own.
They aren’t. You’re just too stupid to realize that the games combat system is incredibly tedious and flawed, but you’re forced to focus on it during end game content
