no, you can't get addicted to something that releases endorphins

It's made up by the trannies in the government

No its just a stupid way to classify people who aren't interested in being part of the machine as defective.

from the machines point of view, anyone that is not interested is defective

Cute boy feet, gonna masturbate furiously

>Is video game addiction and gaming disorders real?
If it was maybe we'd actually play videogames instead of shitposting all day.

OP loves sucking cocks because he's a fucking faggot please fucking kill yourself OP you dirty nuance faggot. Death to all foot-fags. Osaka japan girl armpits #1.

Yes, but people can get addicted to anything, so its not much of a shocker.
If you play 8 hours straight in the weekend thats fine. When you stop going to work because you rather play vidya, thats when you have a problem

Since 15 I'm playing video games at least 6hrs a day. Now I'm 25 and I'm playing at least 10 hrs a day.

Neet life so hard.

Yes and anyone who says otherwise is just in denial. I have seen plenty of people both online and irl that have fucked up their lives with vidya.

>A 32-year-old man was found dead in an Internet cafe in Taiwan after a marathon three-day gaming binge
Probably for shit like this. But I've noticed that a lot of people who seem addicted to video games are also basically drug addicts or alcoholics who just use games as something to do while they get drunk or high, and it's not really the games themselves causing any issue.

Anyone who tries to act like saying "you can be addicted to video games" is the same as "gaming is a mental disorder" is pretty retarded though. Especially when you learn that big gaming companies literally hire psychologists to help them make games as addictive as possible, how they try to slip gambling into games through lootboxes and giving some out for free to give players a taste and get them to buy more, etc.

>play video games
>get labeled as mentally ill piece of shit that should be killed off

>cut your dick off with a kitchen knife and go to the street waving the bloody stump
>”wow, so brave and inspiring!”

The world is sick.

There are people who get addicted to eating paper. The problem is many people just want to numb the pain, but living is painful.

I can't deny that they might've ruined their life playing videogames, but it wasn't because of the videogames, but themselves being weak willed, depressive or something else.
If you dig deep down into anyone's life, you'll most likely find something they do on a periodical basis that you could justify as "unhealthy behavior".
Unless you're going for an actual hard drug that have direct consequences for a few experiences, most of the time the "addiction"is the excuse we make to justify our own fuck-ups. "My life got ruined because I played too much vidya", "Weed fucks you up","Don't drink coffe", "Smoking will make you develop bad habits".
No, fuck off, your life got fucked because YOU didn't put as much effort into it. The moment you stop, nothing will change, not this month, not the next one, and it won't happen until you get your fat ass off your chair and start doing shit.

Everyone is addicted to something. The only difference is the substance and frequency. But we all have "something" that levels us when we're fucked, and the removal of such would have huge consequences on our psyche. But that's fine as long as you're aware of it and have a way to adapt the "drug" to your life, not the other way around.

I used to play 10 hours a day but now I am in my 20s and only play TF2 once a week.

FUCK ZOOMERS!

It's kind of true, but things like alcohol and social media are much worse. When playing video games I feel active and feel like I could stop playing if I had to do something. Social media puts you into this numb state of scrolling down endlessly. If I had to rate addiction severity from less severe to more, it would be:
cigarettes

Imagine being addicted to the dopamine rush of posting on a a video game image board on an anime website and seeing a response to your post haha

Fuck yes it's real. I spend insane amounts of money on videogames, and keep doing it. Even heavily discounted videogames add up over the course of a month.

haha yeah how about you haha

Yeah I understand. I don't think there's anything wrong with someone trying to find something to help them deal with that. But I kind of wish Zig Forums would be more aware that a lot of games are purposely being made to be as addictive as possible and sometimes someone gets hooked. It's usually not with single player games, older games, indies, etc. but a lot of multiplayer games. Especially MMOs and anything with lootboxes.

You have purpose, you have ambitions or something like that.
But people like me just don't give a fuck about our existence. I mean life sucks and you can take drugs or play vidya. There's no more choice for us.

This is why I pirate, it's like having drugs for free.

Haha very nice joke guys, you can stop now

The exact same maybe with a bong next to him and a dissapointed mom looming over him

I'm not addicted, I'm just too cowardly to go out and do normal people stuff.

I also noticed that I'm less excited about video games now, when I have my own pc that I can pirate on. As a teenager I only had Xbox 360 and got like one game per year. Now I know they are all shit and handful are good.

Go to college. First day doing something new is always hard, but then you just get used to it

I just don't have any stamina. Whenever I'm dragged out for a hike or go to the park with my dog, I feel like shit after only 30 minutes or so.
