There isn’t a single logical argument against paid mods that isn’t “reeeee but I want it for free”

Why do you make bait threads on Zig Forums?
What do you get out of it?

>pirate games
>now pirate mods

society forced me to be a criminal.

this to be desu
if it's not free then i'm sorry but i'm forced to pirate it

>same bait thread will reach 500 replies

>There isn’t a single logical argument against paid mods that isn’t “reeeee but I want it for free”
except for legality and the fact that mods are almost always for free.. there actually is no legit argument for asking money for a mod other than "reeee but noone supports me on patreon"

I don't want it for free, I just don't want to pay for it. Others will pay for it for me. And if they don't? I just ignore it and move on.

False equivalence that relies on strawmanning everyone who is against paid mods of feeling entitled to devs making mods against their will.

>if u think differently about different things you are wrong

Question, how do you feel about people that make complete overhauls and don't distribute them at all?
If it's any different from how you feel about paid mods you're a hypocrite.
Because it's their choice on if they want to do that or not.
Good luck pretending the modding community hasn't always been a cabal of autists,

Didn't people rave that creation club will lead to fantastic Skyrim mods that will be close to official expansions to dlc in quality and we got pretty much nothing noteworthy?

>same anime avatarfag will get no (you)s

>Spreading (((their))) narrative
Piracy is not a crime. If laws override general moral principles, it's all the worse for laws.

Explain why they're different.

reminds me of a naruto modder that stopped giving them for free because youtubers could just make a vid using his mod for millions of views while his barely reached 2000
everyone started bitching lol

But for real OP is right, we just had 640 replies in a thread and not a single logical argument against paid mods was presented, just entitled crying of children

Attached: we have this thread every day.jpg (396x382, 37.07K)

Why would I care about something I wasn't going to get anyway?

Explain why it's the same.

paid mods is jewery.
not releasing mods is just regular autism which is fine.

mods are just modern day rom hacks so you charging me for it is equally illegal as me pirating it.. if you complain about this, then who is the hypocrite?
>you doing illegal act (pirating) prevents me from becoming rich through another illegal act (rom hacking)

sure, mods are technically legal but only through fair use.. making money off of it is not fair use

Because the creator chose to wall you off from having it in one way or another.
Your turn.
How are they different.

Not a single logical argument in defense of paid mods was presented in that thread, just mindless screechingly that everyone who argues against paid mods is a entitled crying child and a communist.

one is being a jew, one is not.

Correct. What's your point? "I want it for free" is the only logical argument that is needed.

I now use GamePass on Xbox and my pc only for Civ V and FM18 and the odd classic (mostly Xcom) right now.

I really can't see myself ever buying a game again to be honest. £110 for 3 years of GamePass and Civ VI is free tonight.

Ah, so it was money, thank you for clearing that up.
Why start responding if the image was right? Lol

Again false equivalence. Choosing not to share your mod at all is not the same as trying to sell it.
>How are they different.
One gives you access and the other doesn't involve a market.

>reeeee but I want it for free
I will either download the mod for free, or not download it at all.
Don't care about any autistic "muh work" bullshit.

>the difference between paid mods and not paid mods is money
Yes, way to go sherlock.

Which are facts. You can reread the last thread, I have said everything there is to say.
If you are unable to side with me, you are childish. It is nothing but wanting stuff for free.
The world does not operate like that. A part of growing up is to realize you can't get everything you want, or that life does not go the way you like every time. It's also important to be content with this, only then can you move on and focus on stuff you can attain and achieve.
Final words, something that is universal and literally not refutable: Don't like it, don't buy it.

No it's not. What is logical about that? Nothing, outside of your entitlement.
The ugly truth you don't want to admit. Also something that has no rational basis, just a childish "me want this toy" mentality.

So one is okay for you not to have because no one wants money yet the other one is not okay because... they want money?

I don't care about them, but if I can get them through other, free means I will.
Exactly the same thing I feel for paid mods.

another paid mods controversy?
what game is this regarding

>If it's any different from how you feel about paid mods you're a hypocrite.
How is this relevant? I don't understand how you would have the "same position" on these two things

You say that like free isn't a universally valuable trait

on some consoles you can even get banned for modding (even legally sued when it's nintendo) so this argument holds up but modding isn't the same as rom hacking
