There's no flying cars in Cyberpunk 2077 either.

No one thinks that's what defines cyberpunk

At least it's at night.

that was my argument all those fucking retards here pretend Cyberpunk 2077 isn't Cyberpunk because of muh neon and muh flying cars.

I don't care what it looks like, user. I just want good games. That's all I ask.

>zoomers on Zig Forums would say this isn't cyberpunk because there are no flying cars or neon.

Do you have a single fact to back that up?>

There are though

>There's no flying cars in Cyberpunk 2077 either
We've literally seen them in the trailers tho
Too bad they're only reserved for Trauma team and high corporate positions

It's not punk at first because you play a cop
It only becomes punk after you leave UNATCO

yeah just go into the next cyberpunk 2077 thread you see and you will find a good amount of zoomers misunderstanding the cyberpunk genre and thinking it's about flying cars, neon and night time.

Deus ex is probably the most cyberpunk game we've ever had. it has dark cityscapes, body augmentations, hacking, politcal intrigue/conspiracy and AI that do stuffs.

we'll never get something close to the first deus ex, even cyberpunk 2077 won't be as good.

>It's not punk at first because you play a cop
so what? The theme of the world stays the same.
Cyberpunk tabletop even had cop as a playable class

Exept anons in CD Project Cyberpunk threads

VTMB is pretty close.

Kinda like helicopters really, when I think about it. Private people usually don't fly around in choppers, it's more of an utility vehicle

VTMB is good, i agree. but it's not cyberpunk. I was stricly talking about the cyberpunk genre.

>Blade Runner is not Cyberpunk
OK

I don't remember Neuromancer having any flying car either, and it's cyberpunk as fuck.

>really excited to play a lot of games that I haven't played before, like for example RE4 which I'm 6 hours in
>so fucking tired because of college shit that I play for 10 minutes and alt+f4
>browse Zig Forums instead or replay Deus Ex for the 7th time

yes I'm sure that flying cars would be possible with the current technology, but why would a company invest into something like it if it would instantly get regulated by every government in the world so that no one is allowed to have a flying car. It wouldn't make sense that in 57 years everybody has their own flying car

Fucking this. It hurts tho

all this arguing over what is and isn't cyberpunk is dumb as shit. it was always just a marketing tactic for books, nothing was set in stone

arguing over game genres on it's own is stupid. There are so many genres and so many aspects that define those genres that it just makes your brain hurt the more you think about it.

>deusex

that's terror

But there quite literally are flying cars if you would watch a single (any at all) piece of information about the game you would know that

NOO IT NEEDS TO BE RAINING WITH PINK AND TEAL

Wow, this looks just like modern day New York

All the conspiracy shit is actually pretty peculiar to Deus Ex, although it's a nice fit for the genre

I don't even want to know what you mean by that, the answer is no.

>Infopunk
>cybernetic control to information dynamics
This sounds so lame but it's our reality. Why is this timeline like this
